I discovered this coin of paradise: colorful, quiet, peaceful, hidden behind the hostel. I did find beautiful places just exploring on foot.
Came here a few times while living in Rupert and it was very unique and beautiful took pictures had a nice relaxing walk its a nice little garden to come and see
I had a bit of a difficult time using the map that the city provides to see the gatdens. Access/entrances to it are poorly supported by signs. Once I located it, I was presented with an array of colorful flora. Convenient location, close to Cow Bay.
The gardens are small but very beautiful, not something you would expect to find. When walking in the city or on the way to Cow Bay you should stop and have a look on the way.
This garden adjacent the courthouse is maintained mostly by volunteers, there's benches and loads of flowers and shrubs to enjoy.I'm no gardener but if was great to sit in the sun and just stop for a few minutes!
These gardens are a lovely place to spend some time when in Prince Rupert. We visited in mid June and the display of flowers was quite wonderful. Interesting history as an ammunitions store in WW2.
very well done, although we were just a little early as the ladies were just doing their spring planting, so I'm sure it would be colourful a little later. A must see.
A beautiful place to wander through. We had rain, but that didn't deter us from enjoying the garden and the pretty flowers.
I loved this place. Visited on May 4/12 and already some of the flowers were in bloom. Once a hole in the ground as an excavation for a city hall , then tunnels added to it for ammunition storage during WWII, and now a sunken garden cared for by volunteers. Even in early spring, it was a place to sit and admire the creativity of Prince Rupians!!!
Its a small park. Go to courthouse and its just behind it. Nice place for evening walks or go during lunch. Don't expect much more as its a decent little park.
