Thank you for your lovely comment. What a pleasure to read that you enjoyed your visit in Provins, and especially the Tithe Barn!Glad to have you back here!Kind regards,The Tourist Office of Provins
short visit but interesting. you learn more about the trades at this era.be careful with the stairs !!
This museum - which explains life at the Provins markets via a number of characters (merchant, weaver, potter, etc.) - was an unexpected treat. Although it is small (took us approximately 1/2 hour to tour), the audioguide tour (available in several different languages) provides a wealth of information and allows visitors to take the museum at their own pace. This made it a huge hit with our kids, who could swipe their guides as they pleased. Perfect way to start our day in Provins.
beautiful old building, with a historywe were there during a town festival, the Grange had a historical exhibition
How often do you get a chance to see an authentic medieval vaulted-ceilinged cellar, what the French call, a "cave.?" This one has been used for a TV location, as well. See if it rings a bell.
Entry price includes an audio device and you learn all sorts of interesting historical tidbits. And it is an impressive building as well made even more so by the underground part.
This is what I thought may have been so so, but it turned out to be my favorite stop. Absolutely loved learning about how trade began way back in those days.
