Gather your friends and head to Frontier days and the Rodeo. This year was my first time. I will be back every year that can be there. The rodeo is awesome. Town concerts and street fair are great also. Don't be concerned that you're not a cowboy. All people are welcome.
Great place for family fun and also couples...the rodeo is great and is very close to downtown and courthouse square. They serve food, beverages and spirits...always held in early July and attracts thousands of visitors
Prescott is the place to be for the 4th. Hometown Parade, Boot Races, best Craft Fair, the Rodeo, Cowboy Dances and spending the day at Pioneer Park, lounging under a canopy with friends, listening to great bands and waiting for the incredible Fireworks Show! Can't beat it.
We try to get to the rodeo at least once each year. It's always the highlight of a great weekend in Prescott. The rodeo performances are always full of excitement, the food is good, and the shopping is cool. Every year it's like we are part of history--the world's oldest rodeo.
One of the very special things about Prescott. Our family makes the rodeo an annual event. It is always entertaining and reminds you of what small town America is all about.
While the atmosphere and competition at the World's Oldest Rodeo is entertaining, the commentary over the public address system is not. I was stunned when the PA announcer asked how many Republicans were in the audience and how many Democrats. Then there was his statements ripping President Obama. Political comments about any politician have no place at a sporting event.
The 4th of July in Prescott always included the parade on Saturday morning, cowboys in town for the rodeo over the course of a wholetweek, more pickup trucks than you could shake a stick at, great food, great beer and a whole lot of people watching!
Such a fun experience! Seats were great, crowd was fun and just laid back. We love watching the action.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants. The highlight was our visit to the Sharlit museum.
This is the rodeo to see! 7 nights of frontier cowboy fun. A must see in Prescott AZ. Remember to bring a cushion to sit on, it's a long event on rustic benches.
