I have visited the retail shop on half a dozen occations this year and never left without one or two nuggets of gin and/or licquor consumptiion. Lillet instead of Vermouth makes a "Bond" martini. I await the delayed Absinthe introduction in December, knowing the amount of poison in wormwood is so low that the residual in the sample supplied by the distillery was undetectable, so the Fed asked for a bigger sample to test. I want a bigger sample too.
Quincy Street Distillery offers an exciting visit with the possibility to taste brilliant whiskey, aquavit and more. Very friendly people in the distillery.
If you have any interest in tasting great spirits or seeing how they are made, I highly recommend a visit to QSD. Derrick's knowledge of distillery-stuff is encyclopedic, and makes great, fresh cocktails. When I went I brought along a group of guys, and everyone had a great time. Its off the beaten track, but well worth the time and effort.
We heard about the distillery from a friend. The tour was delightful and informative. The cocktails were spectacular! The Honey-ito was delightfully fresh & fun. I grew up in Riverside and yet I learned some history from the owner Derrick about Riverside's past that I did not know . Looking forward to the release of their first Absinthe. We'll be back for a taste!
Small, quaint, and delicious. I love this place. And the fact that it's in Riverside makes it all the more delightful.
My wife shops on groopon and found a tour of Quincy Street Distillery. She asked if I was intrested I said yes and boy am Iglad I did. This place is a very quiet speakeasy. The drinks are fresh inventive and not expensive $4.00 or $8.00 each. all are served with the distillery's on products. We did the tour in June and have been back several times to enjoy a quiet drink with friends yes every one there becomes your friend. Your all there for the same thing good drinksand enjoyment. So I say take the tour and you'll come back for the drinks. My fav right now is a Brown Durby with the Rye.
They do at The Quincy Street Distillery. Quaint and cozy bar. Check. On sight alcohol production. Check. A greater appreciation for the process of alcohol distillation. Check and Check. Warm and friendly atmosphere and a wealth of learning , plus alcohol. Take a tour, do a tasting, support a craft industry and enjoy their fine products.
My husband and I went on a groupon to tour this boutique distillery. We had a drink which was wonderful and learned all about the process of making whiskey. We learned about the process and the ingredients. It was very interesting. The owner-lecturer gave an in-depth description of the process including what goes into each batch. At the end of the tour, samples were given. My husband and I really enjoyed it.
Nestled just down the street from the historic watertower and town hall is this wonderful little distillery! We haven't taken the tour yet (we have our Groupon, tho) but we've been in a few times for some of their fantastic spirits. Our bartender, Coby, was great and gave us a lot of the history while mixing up some truly tasty drinks for us. We're within walking distance so we're thrilled to have this gem in our neck of the woods!!
