Quirky modern structure well hidden by surrounding buildings. 3 euro entry but this includes a free drink in one of the nearby bars. Roof walkway has good views in all directions. Entry location not obvious - take ramp down to find entry booth and lifts
It is a bit out of place in such a lovely old city but I did enjoy this feature. The walkways give a great view around the city and was most impressive at twilight as all the lights around the city were coming on.
Once you have had your fill of Seville's amazing historic buildings and architecture, this is something completely different! Modern and out of character this mushroom as the locals call it covers the fantastic indoor food market, main road and square. There is a walkway across the top of the Parasol with fantastic views over the city. A must day or night.
Metropol parasol is worth sparing some of your precious time in Seville, if you can. The structure is really impressive and it is also exciting to go atop to enjoy the views. Don't forget to get your free drink with your ticket at the designated nearby cafes.
The price of this hidden gem of an attraction was brilliant and the views/juxtaposition of architecture makes for some wonderful photos. Recommend it goes on anyone's list
Lots of controversary over this structure. I liked it and it had great views of the entire city on the top.Market underneath was small but ok.
Small admission charge is worth it for the unusual experience of walking around atop the "mushroom" (a/k/a "parasol"). Views are extensive and provide 360-degree panorama of the city with signage to indicate what you're seeing in each direction. Also fun at night, when the bases of the pods are illuminated with blue lights, making it a very unusual landmark in the historic city center.
Defiantly a work of art and very futuristic looking.A place for youngsters to hang out.Not sure it fits in with the rest of Seville.
