This will challenge your physical and mental skills! One of the best activity that I've tried so far. This is so extreme but so fulfilling. Not for claustrophobic peeps!
Since i never get into cave my tourist guide this cave must visit by the experience one, and we must entered equiped standard cave trackers... but i really want to go in it next visit
I enjoyed Lumiang cave just as much as the other cave. The cave connection is a must try and be prepared to get wet!
There are some areas in lumiang that's a bit a technical but very manageable. the tour guides explained to us what should we do and not to do. It was fun and full of excitement.
You will be welcomed with the coffins. The tour begins from here. Rituals be done by the guide. Please respect and do your share! There is no beauty inside when you expect of stalactites or stalagmites. Its beauty lies on the obstacles that you have to surpass in order to get to Sumaguing Cave. And this is where you can appreciate its worth as a spelunking area.I learned three rules here: 1) Be respectful to the traditions of the local people as they pay respect to their ancestors; 2) Wear suitable attire; 3) Listen intently to the instruction of the tour guide and don't be hard-headed especially if you're not a professional spelunker or you might fell down and smashed your self to death.Be cautious and enjoy the thrill!
But cool! As a fan of cultural and unusual places, I really like it. The cave itself is scary and beautiful at the same time. It's so close to the center of the city that it's worth a visit anyway once you are in Sagada.
Must be fit that's it... if you because there obstacles that are challenging physically... sometimes you need to fit yourself in, climb rocks etc...
It is a steep and treacherous climb down to the burial cave and the handrails run out before the end so be careful and make sure you have good grip footwear. This is a quirky and unusual place with wooden coffins stacked against the wall almost as if ghey are waiting for someone to come along and move them or bury them.
This is a great starting point for the cave connection experience. The outside of the cave is just 1/10th of what you are supposed to experience if you get inside. Hire a local tour guide. It is a must since the descents and ascents can tend to be quite technical inside. A few adventures would be going in tight crevices, climbing up 90 degree openings, slippery rocks, and be prepared to get wet as you traverse the connection to the Porn cave. :P
As the title says, this is one of the top things to see in SAGADA.About 100 coffins are still there. Walking down there is easy, but getting back up is more difficult!
