I loved the place, very neat. It takes around 2 hours to take a good look at it. Friendly personnel. Would love to come back.
Across the street from the Monumento a los Heroes de la Resturacion, Centro Leon's small entry fee is worth seeing the various types of art stored there. Everyone likes to see a museum in a new city - Centro should be on the list.
Although I wish the information was in English, the art and artifacts were great. The building is beautiful and the staff was very nice.
The artwork was beautiful. The history within ...intriguing. The guide was very thorough in his explanations. The guide is able to speak English if you request it. However the souvenir shop was very pricey.
I was very happy to visit this clean and pretty museum.I learnt many interesting things about the Dominican Republic, its history, inhabitants, culture, nature, ...Not boring at all and very beautiful. I higly recommend it for every one, kids or adults. Beware : texts are only in Spanish.

Centro León was a creation by the León family. The Leóns are very prominent in the Dominican Republic, mainly as owners of the prestigious local beer Presidente. They also own banks as well as the La Aurora Cigar Factory, which was their first business venture (now celebrating 111 years). Centro León is not only an extraordinary museum, but also a great cultural and social center for all to enjoy. They have a nice cafeteria (restauran) and store (shop). It is a must on any visit to Santiago.
This is a good place to visit when you are in Santiago. You can see some history, culture and art of the Dominican Republic.
