Tried 3 different types and they were all good, however noticed very little head on the pour from the large 2 litre jug and just wonder if that's a normal thing for craft beer.Deposit was $5.00 on the 2 litre jug that's a good thing to see, that way they are sure to get them returned.Hope they continue to expand and also broden there selection with a really light beer and a 4.5 percent alcohol content would be a great asset to this small craft brewery.Keep up the great work, this has long been overdued in Sarnia.
I was on vacation in August and wanted to stop by this new brewery. I stopped in with my father in law for a pint and it felt like we were entering into a fun kitchen party. We had a great conversation with the staff who walked us through the different beers, the process of growing the brand, and challenges starting and growing a business in Sarnia. The beers are amazing, with excellent depth of flavour and a wide variety. The owners are continuing to make great beer and making this a new destination for downtown Sarnia!! Keep up the great work and making awesome beer!! I'm looking forward to my next trip to Sarnia to pick up some more beer!!
Fantastic craft beer that doesn't take life too seriously. Highly recommended. Beer to take home and beer on tap for a quick pint or two while visiting. Lots of variety and seasonals to boot!
We've given our staff a raise and now they are even nicer! So stop by soon to try more of our new seasonal samples. Right now we've got an English Bitter and a Belgian Quad on tap. Coming soon is a Raspberry Wheat Ale and back by popular demand, Centennial's Fence. Our celebration brew for Sarnia's 100th birthday.
No pretention here. Just a well thought out, quality series of beer. You will not go back to mass produced water after savouring the "Noble Oaf" or "Joe Sent Me". Prices are very competitive for this high quality local brew. Cheers!
If you are going to be in Sarnia you have to check out the Refined Fool Brewing Co. It's downtown near the intersection of Christina and Davis. They have six regulars on tap and are always coming up with creative seasonal brews that sell out quickly (the strawberry wheat ale was delicious). Staff are friendly and you can sample before you buy a pint. There are also bottles and growlers that you can take home to stock your fridge. They can only serve pints til 9pm so go early. They have also recently expanded their hours and are open every day starting at 12 noon. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait for the next seasonal. We'll for sure be back!
My husband and I were intrigued so we checked it out. We were pleasantly surprised to find it to be such a learning experience. The gentleman behind the counter was polite and knowledgeable, ready for our questions. We sampled the fine selection of craft beers and settled on a few to take home to enjoy. We went with "Short Pier Long Walk" and "Ripsnorter" both delicious. We will definitely be back for some more growlers!
Stopped in for my first time today. Oodles of free taste tests offered. Picked up a few bottles of some amazing beer. Even ended up with a "Refined Fool" beer glass. Definatelt worth stopping in. Get a bottle.. or a growler if you are brave enough.
Sarnia's a town of beer drinkers. Now they've got some excellently-crafted local brews to enjoy, and they're taking to it. Get here!
I was born and raised in Sarnia and travel back two times a year. What a great surprise to find this amazing brewery! We sampled all the brews available. So tasty. It was hard for me to pick a favorite. We finally walked away with a few bottles, including the high gravity Belgian quad. The Strawberry Wheat is excellent as a summer beer. I've tried beer from various brewpubs in places like Oregon and Colorado, and Refined Fool is one of the best! The shop has a fun vibe and the people are super friendly. I hope they let me be their Southern US distributor. :)
