not just slot machines. Has nice restaurants with plenty of choices. Has table games. One of my favorite things was wed. Night acoustic night in the sports bar but they discontinued that. Food is good in sports bar.
The casino itself was nice but the gaming was so tight its not even funny, we got players club cards just to throw them in the trash because we will never be back there again. I have been to a lot of casinos in our 28 years together, but by far this one was the worst, most times I can win enough to play on for hours, not here, this place is the worst for pay outs we spent an hour there then just left, its awful. We were going to have the buffet for 27 dollars but after seeing what the buffet consisted of we decided against it. Definitely not worth the money.
We visit Firelake several times a year. Great place to unwind, have dinner, drinks, slots, concerts or just visiting with friends. Conveniently located off I-40.
The Sport Bar food is good, and there is always plenty of it. One of the specialties is fried alligator that is available in several different ways. The chipotle dipping sauce is really excellent. The breakfasts are excellent and are really reasonably priced. We don't use the casino, but often go for the live entertainment at the Sport Bar or the Event Center. The buffet is unreasonably expensive, and we've heard that the steak house is also. The one bad thing is that there are no children allowed. It is not a family-friendly facility.
My friends and I enjoy the casino and the food as a good place to get together for a night out. Live music with famous names and local talent as well as comedy shows more!
My husband and I have visited Grand Casino about once a week for several years. We play the slots and spend a relatively small amount but are still able to get a free buffet breakfast every Monday. They have recently added a large non-smoking area that we enjoy. The buffet hasn't changed in years. A change in food choices and buffet layout would be nice. Sometimes the slots are tight but most of the time we can play quite a while on our winnings.
Have been going to the Grand since it opened. Regularly play $2, $3, $4, $5 .... a spin. You have a better chance winning on a 40 cent, 60 cent or 80 cent bet. Can not count the number of bonus spins I hit betting $5, $8 or $10 dollars only to win $20 or $30. Seems like the last couple years I cant stay and play for awhile on $400 let alone win anything. Walk in, loose money in about 45 minutes and leave. Would be nice to play for a few hours. Not anymore. Also, ate at the new cafe several times. Good food. Good prices. However, last time eating there, our tab was $13.00(my wife and I shared a meal because the meals our more than you can eat). I left a $5.00 cash tip and used my debit card for the $13.00 tab. When the charge cleared the bank it was $18.00. The waitress added $5.00 for herself. Never eat there again. Watch your debit cards there. No more for me.
We went to the Olivia Newton-John concert there last night!!! She was awesome!! I have been to the Grand several times but this was the first time to the event center. I was impressed. Very nice, clean, and comfortable!! Lots of people but it didn't feel crowded. No smoking or vaping in the center so that is very nice for mon smokers. Can't wait to go again!!!
We live close so we play here all the time. Its the cleanest casino around. And we do OK most of the time. I like the buffett here, little expensive but good food.
We stopped here on our way home from a long family vacation. There was not much for the kids to do however they did have fun on the ipad in the hotel room. The games seemed pretty even to us, typical casino, except where are the drinks? Every time I wanted a drink I had to leave my machine and go to the bar, no fun, especially when your winning!
