It’s the smallest park I would think but the nicest, even in winter time! If you want to take great pictures, that’s the place, especially weeding type.
Howard park is a wonderful piece of history especially if you have no prior knowledge of the area. There were tours of the Howard house, and the guides were very knowledgable. The signages and directions could have been a bit better. The music was great too! My children had fun exploring the house and the gardens. Food was available. Unfortunately, the toilet facilities were more than lacking for the crowd.
If you are in the area, this is a nice activity, especially around July when all the flowers have bloomed. I would not make a long trip, to come and visit. However, if you are not too far from Sherbrooke, these grounds are well worth the visit.
I really thought there would be more , especially familly wise ! Kids were bored.
You can also fish in the summer in the pond. Super Victorian stone houses. Nice place to relax in the summer.
Beautiful garden, very lovely pond and fountain. It's quite a nice area to sit and read or do some outdoor yoga. It's large enough to be shut off from the surrounding streets and the sound of cars, so it makes for a peaceful park. All that said, there isn't anything to actually do here, and I don't recommend trying to drag the kids along and make it into a family activity.
