I was very impressed with the amount and variety of pottery and other crafts. Great display of garden art also. Good selection of sandwiches, hard to choose. My chicken salad was delicious. There were kids working on projects which looked like fun- would love to come back with the grandkids.
My husband and I stopped a the Shed to look at their selection of pottery and other gift items. We were impressed with the variety of styles and colors as well as the many garden decorations done by various artists. The Shed itself is an unique setting of small rooms that house the pottery for sale, a large room for doing individual pottery and tile painting, a small restaurant and lots of outdoor nooks and garden areas for sipping a latte or listening to music. We returned with our son's family that evening to listen to a duo play music and have pizza. It seemed a favorite activity for locals and vacationers and certainly we felt welcome with children. The only disappointment was the pizza-very ordinary. They serve beer and wine.
Every time we come up to the cabin we make it a point to stop up for coffee in the morning. Very good coffee and food! We love looking at all of the gift items and pottery. Great place to stop and check out if you are in the area!
I enjoy taking out of town guests to visit The Potter's Shed. There is much interesting art produced by local artist. We've enjoyed glazing our own purchased pottery on a rainy day to be shipped to us later. Recently we discovered that there is musical entertainment on weekends in the summer so we're planning to give that a try. This is just a fun stop in the area and worth a few minutes or longer!
Music at the Shed is a great way to spend at summer evening. Fun for the whole family or just for you and a friend.Relaxed atmosphere. Great refreshments and treats available.Best around!
Just loved finding The Potter's Shed this year on vacation. Read a review that said something for everyone and they were right! We were so fortunate to discover this gem on the day they had John Beland for a FREE concert! What a venue! Great sound and seating, (you can even bring your own if you'd prefer). I can't say enough about how much fun that concert was. Wonderful beer selection and you could buy wine which we did while enjoying the concert. Like having a concert in your own backyard. They also have food for sale, that was delivered to our table. Can't wait to go back next year, my only complaint is that I live to far away to take advantage of the other concerts they offer! The store had a lot to offer and being able to craft there as well makes it a fun stop as well. Started out by having a great lunch there with a tasty smoothy and came back that night for the concert.
Recommended by our inn-keeper for lunch, we stopped in and were pleasantly surprised by the good food, casual ambiance, and great desserts. Place your order at the counter, grab some cutlery and a napkin, then sit back and enjoy. Also enjoyed shopping after we finished lunch. The cafe was hopping, so we figured it much be a local favorite, too.
I have visited this place several times. My children paint pottery here every year. It has always been a good experience. There is a huge selection of pottery at different prices. Some is quite expensive, so you may need to let you kiddos know ahead of time what there limit is. If you are only around for the day, they will ship pottery to your home. There is an additional charge for shipping. Sometimes you can watch them fire your pottery depending upon what type of pottery you choose. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They serve some food items around lunch as well as ice cream. Food has always been good. There is a really neat outdoor stage where they have music on the weekends. Sometimes there is a gate fee, sometimes not. Usually between 5-10 dollars. I believe that kids are free. The performers have ranged from very good to excellent. Drinks and a limited food menu are available during bands. This is a must visit. Since hours and activities change you may want to confirm hours if you are coming from a long way.
We scour the country looking for great art to offer at the Shed. Thanks so much for supporting or little endeavor. It wouldn't work without fine folks like you!
A great place to shop for a gift, paint pottery, make a mosaic, or enjoy a great lunch at the cafe. You can eat inside or relax in the outdoor seating area that is decorated with pottery and art that is for sale as well as creative fountains and great gardens. Grab an icy beverage, dessert or a meal and make a day of it!
