This is the part to go for theaters, nice small bars to just have a gålas of wine, nice pubsbut also fabulous dinner restaurants.
This is a must for everyone that are in Stockholm. Great bars and restaurants. Take a walk around Södermalm. Best time if summer and autumn.
I was told that many young people live here which happened to be true. While you stroll down the streets you'll pass numerous cafes and restaurants, hair salons ( Swedish people do like their hair ), vintage boutiques, book stores, galleries, old record stores and lots of parks and green zones. Locals are loyal to mini flea market at Hornstull that pops up once a week. The atmosphere is urban but relaxed. Yet, although you'll not feel like a stranger, you won't be bothered with smalltalk either. Great for solo adventurers.
Really nice restaurants, amazing culinary expierences, but of course everything has its price, so the dinning here is upscale and a bit expensive
Very trendy area. Cheaper food options. Great night life. Best views of old town! Definitely take your pictures here.
If you like cute stores, nice restaurants and a variety of people, go here! It is nice just to walk around and explore. For the best view of Stockholm take a bus to Tjärhovsplan and walk to Fjällgatan.
We stayed at a nice hotel called Helsmtem Malmgaard, a kind of vintage classic mansion in the middle of the district, and we got no disapointment. The minor streets are residential, but there are a lot of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants on the bigger streets, which makes the district very lively and, in some places, noisy. It´s not as charming as Old Town, but it has a great urban atmosphere. Besides, there are lots of parks and promenades along the coast. I wouldn´t stay anywhere else.
I stayed at my friend's home in Sodelmalm. There are nice shopping street and good cafe to visit. You can find out and buy swedish good designed stationary and kichen goods.Going up hill, you can look down at great scenery of Gamla Stan (old town) over there. This town is also one of good walking around place.
The neighborhood is filled with beautiful and elegant classical architecture. Sodermalm Saluhall is there. A must go for food.It is also excellent for shopping. There are the usual suspects (Prada, LV, etc), a great shopping centre called Mood Stockholm, there is a huge urban outfitters, skultana retailer (my favourite cufflink brand), NK, Svenskt Tenn, and huge variety of Swedish brand stores. There is also a theater, the Royal Stables and the Army Museum. A must go neighborhood. You havent visited Stockholm if you didn't go.
Really liked this part of town, a nice mix of commercial shopping streets and residential bars and restaurants.
