It has kid type playground equipment. There are shelters which are nice if a thundershower comes along or to get out of the sun.
Great for tots. Visiting relatives with a 2 1/2 yr. old spent hours here. I walk the dog around the soccer field. There are tennis courts, sandlot volleyball, skateboard park, and the rec center is next door. Park at the rec center if you can't get a space in the small lot at the park.
Loved the great scenic views, and rushing water of the Blue River with many pedestrian bridges across the river allowing for scenic pictures!
This place is fantastic for kids of all ages. My kid could spend hours there. Dad also had lots of fun, especially on the three story slide. In addition, a great running path (could get in a run while kids play if they're Los enough to be on own), big field, picnic area, and a skate park. Really a place for everyone.
This is a great park for kids of all ages! We took our 3 1/2-year-old twin grandchildren to Rainbow Park to let them run off a little energy before we went back to our hotel. They both had a blast! We had planned to stay for a half hour but ended up staying for well over an hour. The children's play area is large. The structures in the play area are very colorful and have many different climbing, sliding and swinging possibilities. There were lots of different variations on ladders, bridges, walkways, slides and swings (even a tire swing!). There were even some hollow metal pipes that made music when tapped or gently moved. The surface under the structures was a mix of soft rubber or wood chips (for soft landings in case of a fall). Everything was clean and well-maintained. There were restrooms, a water fountain and a shaded area with tables right by the play structures. We saw kids from 6 months (swinging in the baby swings) to 10-12 years old (climbing a large climbing pyramid made of steel cables) being active and having a good time. The park also has a skate park (fun for the little ones to watch), a soccer field, a basketball court and tennis courts. It is located right next to a rec center. We've been to at least 20 parks with the grandkids and this is without a doubt the best one we have visited.
This neighborhood park has a world of options. A large open area gets plenty of use by soccer players and ultimate frisbee players. There is a skate park, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts as well. Two shelters with picnic tables and grills are available and can be reserved.A good-sized playground with newer toys keeps kids occupied for hours.Parking is a bit tight in the front lot, though additional parking is available at the rec center and at the rear of the park.
We are from Texas where my kids, now older kids never since snow. We went there to visit the ice castle, in which was not that great but however the park was awesome. First there was no snow than while dining it started to snow, SOOOO beautiful !!!! We walked out and the ground was white. We went to the park and we had a blast. My granddaughter enjoy the playground. My family and I got into a snow fight, We saw people sledding and etc. IT was just so much fun. The park is big with a very enjoyable playground. It was just so much fun. We are go back again this month but this time we are buying some snow sled!!! Cant wait. I am sure Yall will enjoy the park if yall visit it. Plenty of fun.
They have the best playground in Summit County and the older kids like to use and hang out at the skate park. There is a lot of room to run around, throw a frisbee or a ball, have a picnic, or just enjoy the great mountain views.
For visitors, it is a great place to let the kids run and enjoy themselves. It has 2 playgrounds for different age kids. It is also a nice place to take lunch from Wendy's or Quiznos and enjoy being outdoors.
I used to sled here as a kid and took my daughter for the first time after many years away. The sledding is still great but the new playground was an even bigger hit for her. Great way to spend a few hours outdoors on a sunny winter day.
