What seems to be a place of great fun, sadly we found out the hard way that it can be a very dangerous place. Anytime you have to sign a waver before playing really think about if it is worth it? The place itself is clean, and the employees are all very nice! We took our kids there(ages 14 & 11) and met up with their cousins (ages 14,12 & 9). After about an hour of jumping my oldest ended up fracturing her ankle. (Is now on crutches and out of sports for 6 weeks). My youngest has been complaining that her back is sore, and come to find out my nephew has a sore arm from landing on it while there. One of the parents(who is a nurse that works in a hospital close to Epic Air) of a girl on my daughters soccer team saw my daughter and asked what had happened to her ankle, after telling her the story, she told my daughter that they often see kids and some adults that come in from Epic Air with injuries. Gosh, it's only our second time at a trampoline place(the first time was at a different place and no one got injured) unfortunately now that this has happened and the more that we know about this place and others like it, the risk outweighs the fun for us. It's just not worth it for us! We will never go again!
I have a hard time finding places to take my over active son, as a single parent it is frustrating.THANK GOODNESS I stumbled apon this INDOOR recreation park. It is wall to wall trampolines where kids and adults can bounce and jump and run. Not ony was it a good outlet for my son to release all his energy I could participate with him. I also had the option of watching him once I got tired at a near by table or sofa.I did do some research before coming here and was worried about saftey, however they have employees they call court monitors on every court. very friendly and interactive, especially in dodgeball. Staff is wonderful and sweet.
My daughter was invited to a Birthday Party at Epic Air over the weekend and it is ALL she is talking about. Her and her friends had a blast. I stayed for awhile and was very impressed by the attentiveness of the staff and how friendly everyone was. The party host of the birthday party was very interactive. Most of all....CLEAN! Very important to me, as a mom. Highly recommend Epic Air for a party or just to release some energy!
We are sorry to hear of your experience and we would like to clarify a few things. If someone is on the trampolines, then they are considered a jumper and need to pay. When you bring your toddlers to a public pool, do you get in for free (even when you don't swim)? If you go to an amusement park and don't go on any of the rides, do you get in for free? At these places you pay even when you do not participate. You do not pay at our park if you do not jump. You do pay, if you jump. If you are merely assisting a young child onto the trampoline, you do not pay. However, if you are going to participate with them, then you pay. The competition is not cheaper. Their party package for 20 is $484 compared to ours which is $350. So if you want to think the parents jump free at the competition, think again. You are paying for them to jump - regardless if they jump or not. Where at Epic Air, we only charge you, if they jump. We do not sneak in the charge through over-charging on other items. Each addtional jumper is $15. Unlike the competition which is $22 for an addtional jumper. Here's the breakdown: Their base price for 12 jumpers is $250 plus $176 for 12 additional jumpers ($22/jumper ) for a total of $426. This includes only 1 slice of pizza per child (20 slices) and one bottle of water per child. Their Party Host sets up and cleans up and does not interact with the kids on the court. Their package also does not include a t-shirt. Our Birthday Party Package includes 2 slices of pizza per child and a choice of 8 different fountain drinks. The competiton will charge you $5 per pitcher for a fountain drink and $16.50 for 8 slices of pizza. Needing 2 more pizzas and 5 pitchers of a fountain drink to compare to our Birthday party package, that is an additional $58. For a total of $484 (which still does not include a t-shirt) compared to our $350 package. As for the time in between parties, we allow 30 minutes. As a courtesy to the party coming in next, we try to keep each party on schedule so there is not a domino effect. The party is 2 hours, not 2 1/2 hours. We welcome parties to move to another area if they are running past their time. We are complimented all the time on the friendliness of our staff and the way they interact with the customers. We are very sorry you did not experience this and would love for you to email us directly so we can offer you to come back to our park, on us. We take a lot of pride in our park and we believe it shows through the friendliness of the staff as well of the cleanliness of the entire park. We truly are sorry for your experience and hope we can make it up to you. We also offer a survery that we send out the end of each party to encourage feedback so that we can make improvements, if necessary. We hope to hear from you so we can formally rectify the situation.
I just brought my Junior Leaders PE class there from South Elgin HS and we had a blast!! Everyone that worked there was great to work with and treated the students very professionally. The young men did a great job monitoring the students and the park was very clean. All of the PE students commented on how much fun they had and are asking if we could go again next week :) I highly recommend this place for a party, field trip or just if you want some exercise!!!
My son went here for a birthday party. tons of fun. He slept well that night. The place appears to be very clean and the staff was helpful
We have gone several times to Epic Air. The staff is friendly and my kids had a great time. I have a 6 and 3 year old and both of them enjoyed themselves.
We came here with friends and my daughters had a great time! After reading some of these reviews, I agree with some of them. They show you a safety video before you start, but I think that it could be a dangerous place if you are not careful. And they do have an area designated for kids under 7, that is good for little ones. We had a great time!
2 teenagers + 2 adults+1 hour jumping=great time with the 4 person jumping deal that included pizza. Saturday night from 5-6 pm there were not many other jumpers which surprised me. The birthday parties were chaperoned. As long as you can smile and enjoy other jumpers, it's a fun experience for a good price.
We go here with our 2 and 4 here olds all the time any they love it. Try to go during non peak time with small kids cause the bigger kids can be a little rowdy and bump into them. Not that big of a deal but just a precaution. The foam pit and dodgeball arena are my 2 kids favorites.
