Large collection of what you go to Grenada for. People are friendly and excited to show you their booths. Can come off a bit pushy but are respectful if you decline to purchase. The location and views from the square place you in the heart of St. George's and an experience that you should not miss. Ask for Mamma when you get there.
This is a great place to browse around and pick up some spices to bring home. Close to one of the malls, its an easy walk.
This is one of my favorite places in Grenada. Lots of independent vendors and locals. If you are intimidated by crowds, stay away; otherwise enjoy. The ginger fudge is fantastic!
Ambiance, smells, the people. We bought all of our spices here to take home with us. We hired a local person to give us the grand tour of downtown St Georges. It was well worth the few dollars.
Worth a visit but do try to avoid the 'hangers on' that want to take you round the market. The stall holders were lovely but selling similar souvenirs and trinkets (mainly spices).
Get there early in the morning if you want fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables are amazing! Lots to see and experience. If you stop for a coffee or tea be aware that Grenadians love their drinks very sweet!
Full of produce from the Island and most of the stalls sell similar items, for the true local produce visit the sorrounding street pavements. It is still worth a visit to meet the characters that try to sell you their wares.
