The view and air is just amazing, people are friendly and dogs are welcome on leash. Lots of amazing little restaurants. It is hard to find parking on nice sunny days, so keep your large truck at home.....
Great walk on the beach and don't forget to go out on Blackie Spit. Drop by the local restaurants; best is the cabin or Seahorse Grill.
Its a nice beach not far from the busy city life. Come with your family and spend the evening at this beautiful and calm beach. A great side walk for enthusiastic walkers. There is enough space for parking.
We often visit this lovely beach in summer. There are actually two side of the beach. One side is rocky, while the other side is sandy. The rocky side is good for finding shells and exploring. The sandy side is nice for picnics and playing in the sand. There are lots of shops around the beach that include some yummy ice cream shops as well. The sandy side has a dedicated parking lot. There is also lots of parking in the streets, although difficult to find on a busy summer day.I highly recommend visiting this beautiful beach.
Crescent Beach has kept its charm. I remember staying at my grandparents duplex and the bunk bed would shake when the train went by. My mom would give me 50 Cents to get in line at the Bakery @ 5:30 A.M. and I would awake to the smell of fresh bread and run down the street...it was one of the only stores there at that time. We would go once a week to the Safeway in Ocean Park - for groceries.Swimming the tank and 3 o clock training with the Crescent Beach Swim club in the summer where I first learned to swim. Catching mud sharks on the dock. Eating fish and chips at the beach and going to Bible School at the Mission...building sandcastles and then fighting the tide to try to keep them!Today a walk and stroll on the main walk way. Watching a wedding party on the beach. Seeing its charm and sharing my memories. A lovely charming must any time of year just for a walk in nature...the quiet and smell of the salt air and the washing of the waves on the beach.
Its great for a walk. Has a peninsula totally natural for you to wonder over if you like. Soft sandy coves are also available for people to laze around. Also has picnic area with tables.
The walks are all along the ocean with views up to Vancouver and towards the islands. Good restaurants. Parking can be a challenge on a warm sunny day.
This is one of my favorite places to go for a walk with my daughter or husband or meet a friend for a walk. It is perfect in every season and every time of the day from early morning to late at night. The sidewalk is clean and wide and easy to pass those walking slower. The beach and ocean is on one side and the most beautiful beach houses are all along the other. Picture perfect. At one end there is a very large parking area at the other are coffee shops, casual and fine dining of several different varieties and a couple of ice cream shops. Definitely something for everyone. You can go for a walk or take the kids and stay all day at the beach.
This is a great place to hangout with partners, family and friends. The walk along the beach is peaceful and amazingly beautiful. Great place to people watch.
As always, parking is an issue at Crescent Beach, but it is worth the walk. Overcrowded on holidays, and deserted on cloudy days, a perfect place to go for a stroll.
