Lovers Point Park is another Pacific Grove destination. A path around the outside provides a vantage point to see seals, dolphins and even the occasional whale spout- all in the proper season. The winter storms can come in and roll the big rocks in the surf- ocean thunder! There's some tidepooling, just be sure not to collect anything as its protected for the next person to enjoy. We enjoy swimming in wetsuits in the protected cove and entering via the staircase on the outside to scuba dive. You can rent kayaks, snorkeling gear, paddle boards or put your toddler in the swimming pool in the summer. If just looking at the water is more your thing, you can hang out on the benches or rent a surrey to ride along the bike path. All, in all, a treasure we never tire of.The review asks for the date of my visit. There should be an option for daily.
It's a Beautiful park, the views a fabulous ..of Monterey..and Pacific Grove beaches. perfect spot to chill, take pictures,or climb on some rocks.I found sunrise,at the bottom of the stairs to the beach the perfect spot to get the first sun rays reflection off the wave tops! nice!
Just beautiful, lovely place for a brief stop..! It was a sunny day too and the seagulls were out. Definitely worth the trip.
this is right on the Monterey Bay, with easy access to Lover's Point Cove - safe for playing in the water, as well as just viewing the Bay. It is a local's favorite.
This is a truly picturesque place, where everyone is infused in the natural artwork and becomes part of its colors. Whether you're in the park or watch it in the distance you would appreciate its amazing wonder. This park is for everyone, the elderly and the young, men and women, locals and tourists. On a sunny day, it's not rare to see brides in wedding gowns and grooms in tuxedoes having pictures taken and ceremonies held on the meadow with this sacred Point witnessing their love.
Came here with my boyfriend earlier this month, it was gorgeous! Soft sand and the ocean is magnificent against the setting sun. Harbor seals are basking nearby too. :)
Family atmosphere, views of ocean are unparalleled, easy to see why this setting is called "Lover's Point". Usually see a small wedding taking place !
This is a very nice little park, but you can stroll along the walkways in both directions to enjoy all of the surrounding shoreline. One direction takes you about a mile to Cannery Row, while the other will wrap around a smaller bay with surf and sea otters. Very relaxing and good exercise. Good salt air, but if you go too far on the small bay side, it's a bit of a stinker.
Beautifully manicured paths to stroll down. The surf will range from gentle to magnificent crashing waves. The views are amazing during the day and with the illumination of the Monterey Bay coastline they are even more dramatic at night. You are close to all the best Monterey has to offer.
One of my go-to favorite places to go. I've been coming to spot every since I was a child and still brings great joy for me to visit this place. A couple of years ago, they removed the public restrooms and with the amount of people that visit this location, I'm a little surprised that they haven't rebuild another facility.Just plan accordingly.
