Nice pace to eat. The soups are good and different every night. They have a great Prime Rib special on Saturday. The waitresses are very nice!!
They have done a great job getting the course up and looking great after a horrible winter. If you are a local, make sure you show ID so they give you the local rates. My husband and I went at 9am, and it was $33 a person for 18 holes, versus $49 (none resident rate).
I'm not originally from Metro Detroit, so when a friend took me here and said it's one of the nicer courses in the area I was excited.Do yourself a favor: Stop your research, and Google "Inkster Valley." Far superior course in the area without the pushy Ranger at every hole, eyeballing you like you're playing at a TPC. Lakes of Taylor is a DECENT course, but everyone who works there acts like it's Bethpage. Somehow this course stumbled upon the reputation of being a pristine golf course among the locals. They must not play much golf outside of Metro Detroit.Again, my completely unbiased opinion is you golf at Inkster Valley. Par 72 with a few monster par 5s - Courses with *any* Par 5s are hard to find in Detroit. It's a true diamond in the rough.
Very nice course, well tended, I live right on the ninth fairway, not heavily played at all. Always in nice shape, shame it is not played more. Challenging but very playable. Not too long, not to short, just right. Restaurant is pretty good and the deck has a great view of the 1st tee and the 9th and 18th greens.Quite a bit of water, but easily avoidable if you play to your ability and not try for too much.
The city of Taylor has two really nice municipal courses. I think this one plays a little tougher than Taylor Meadows. So bring your A game! The restaurant at Lakes of Taylor is very nice, whether you just want a nice burger after a round of golf or you want to take your mother there for a nice Sunday meal.
This is the bigger of 2 Taylor courses, Beautiful, nice place to also hold a banquet, alot of room, check it out!
I got a groupon for this place and my husband really likes it. Everyone he has taken with him really likes it as well. Price-wise is about average. If you expect to pay $20 with a cart for 18 holes, you shouldn't go to a nice course like this.
Started here with lessons in 2012 and took a woman's clinic this year all with Paul Faverio. Love the course!
A very challenging golf course, but it is so well maintained that I have to keep going back. Much fun!!
When I was back on my Varasity golf team in 2008 we played here and it was my favorite course, great course!
