This large rose garden is situated within a park in Thomasville. The park is right next to the police station. There is many varieties of roses in the garden, there is a lake that you can walk around about a mile. The best time to visit the park is in April when the roses at at there best. Free entry to the park with ample parking.
Many varieties of roses in a nice little park next to Cherokee Lake. Wonderful in late Spring, Summer and Early Fall!
We recently visited for pictures among the beautiful rose gardens. I was amazed at the selection of roses and the beauty of it all! My husband was snapping photos left and right while I was sniffing the blossoms!
So we went to the Rose Garden.... ? It is a waste of time. The rose-beds are thin, the "bushes" are just like gangly twigs and the garden design is non-existent. The "garden" just floats on a couple of acres of green grass next large in town park (so why put the garden right next to the road?). Look save some time and skip this.
