I went on a canoe trip with my 11yr old son on Tionesta Lake. We pushed off at Nebraska bridge. Tionesta Lake is BEAUTIFUL! I have been fishing and canoeing at the Lake since i was a young child, and i wanted my son to enjoy it as much as i have over the years. We caught perch, catfish, rockbass, and smallmouth bass all day long. I would recommend tionesta lake to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. It is a gem of Tionesta !!
A great place to bird watch, hike, site see, boat, swim, jet ski, etc. The water is clean, clear, & blue. There are many hiking trails. It is beautiful there.
my family loves going watching the boat.Plus you can go fishing at one part of the dam. i love it its so much fun
We've camped at the Outflow recreation area for 11 years now. My kids are 20 and 18 and still love to go with us. Honestly, there isn't much to do, but the campground is clean, the restrooms and showers are clean, it's quiet. The creek is handy for fishing, tubing or just wading. The roads in the camp are paved and level so biking is easy. It is pet friendly, the sites mostly all have full hookups. We just love this place.
Tionesta is a beautiful place to visit. From the hills to the river it's a wonderful experience. It's a small area, but that what makes it likable. I really enjoy visiting this area.
We would take our sons there and enjoyed be out and about with the kids. We had seen a lot of wild life.
I've camped here for years, and it's so peaceful. The fishing is pretty good too, and canoeing along the creeks and streams is a great joy. A fun way to spend a weekend if you like the great outdoors.
The road was plowed all the way to the outflow. The road was icy but ok. The area was picture perfect.
It is just beautiful and serene. It is never crowded which makes boating very pleasurable. They also have a camping area which I have not done, but I did hear good things.
I have been going here for years. This is a gorgeous part of the US in the summer and fall. If you like the outdoors, this is fantastic. Camping is great. The people are friendly. The hiking - none better. Tionesta doesn't have a lot of eating options, but the diner was priced fair and the food was good. There is a hotel in town that has kitchenettes. I found it was a great price for a great place. If you are a hunter, hiker, fisherman, sightseer, etc... This is the place for you. If you find a trail (not hard), they are enchanting. The allegany forest is truly amazing. Will I be back, dah!!!
