I took my wife and two young daughters to Cantina Peppuucci last summer. We were made to feel totally welcome by Filippo and his Mother. The experience was totally relaxed, and felt like we had known Filippo for years. The tasting session was informative, and not rushed, we felt we could stay for as long as we wanted. The views of Todi are breathtaking from the Cantina perched on the hill overlooking the vineyards. We regularly buy the wine and visit the Cantina as often as possible.I would recommend this visit to one and all.Ottima!
This is a must see stop if you're in the Umbria Region. The grounds are beautiful with wonderful views. Filippo was so gracious and the table set up was exceptional along with great appetizers to pair with the wines. Filippo is knowledgeable with wines in the region and puts so much love and care in his wines and it shows in the awesome wines that we drank. I came with other friends and we shipped multiple cases back to the states to enjoy them again and remember our wonderful time at Cantina Peppucci. So make an appointment and get ready for a great experience and some great wines.
A visit to this Cantina Peppucci is excellent. Great wines, lovely owners and a perfect tasting. We went there with our friends and childeren and we got a tasting that was perfect!I strongly recommend Phillipo ans his Cantina Peppucci.
This is a family owned and run winery. The family takes a lot of pride in producing high quality wines and doing so in a way that is environmentally friendly. We enjoyed an excellent tour that was given by Filippo, the second generation owner. The scenery at the winery is beautiful. At the end of the tour we enjoyed tasting some delicious wine with Filippo and he also gave us some wonderful food to go along with the wine. I highly recommend this tour and I will be looking for Peppucci wines now that I am back in the US.
Our family group of seven adults enjoyed one of the best afternoons of our stay at a villa near Cantina Peppucci. Filippo is charming, funny but most of all passionate about his wines and his olive oil - all of which are quite exceptional. The setting of the Cantina with its views over the vineyards and Todi is absolutely breath-taking, but the hospitality of Filippo and his mother are what truly make it a very special experience. We purchased a case of the wonderful wine and a case of the delicious olive oil. They arrived a few days ago and we are as happy with them here in the US as we were on that beautiful afternoon in Todi. You should not miss spending a morning or afternoon at Cantina Peppucci - it will be a highlight of your trip.
This must be the absolute best wine-tasting experience that I've had in this region... a beautiful cantina with the most amazing atmosphere, delicious wines, breath-taking views and a wonderful host.
We were staying in a villa nearby and found this place. When we first arrived unexpected Filippo told us he only did tastings by appointment so that he had time to present his wine in the right way. So we made an appoint for 2 days later. When we got there he had opened the bottles ahead of time to let them breath. His mother was also there preparing some salami, cheese, bread to have with the wine. All the wines were very good and Filippo's passion for his wine really came through. Also his hospitality was above and beyond at the tasting and afterwards.I was a little late because I had a flat tire (the rest of the group went ahead to keep our reservation while I replaced the tire). We asked him where I could get the tire repaired and instead of just telling us, after the tasting he had us follow him to an area near Todi where I could get the tire repaired (or replaced).Had some shipped home and have enjoy a bottle or 2 already.
What an amazing and interesting place. A great welcome, a beautiful setting, and the wines are also very, very good. We cycled there from Todi - hard work on a bike, but we felt special, and the views are just fabulous. Also loved their olive oil - I learnt something today. If you love your oil, don't bother drizzling it, drown some bread with it and live a little!
We spent an afternoon at Cantina Peppucci and could not have been more pleased with our decision to do so. Our group was vacationing in the Todi area and decided to visit Cantina Peppucci because of its high rating on this site. We were not disappointed. We spent a wonderful afternoon sampling their products and speaking with the owner Filippo about has passion for making such fantastic wine. His hospitality and patience was beyond compare and this was the greatest wine tasting experience of my life. If you are in the Todi area, you absolutely must visit Cantina Peppucci.
A special relaxed and informative wine tasting experience only about twenty minutes from Todi. Set on top of hill overlooking vineyards, a restored Benedictine monastery and the surrounding valley. Great presentation by Filippo outlining the winery's history, the grapes and the details of their wine making philosophy and processes. Tasted four of their wines; one white and three reds, each carefully presented. Well worth your time and effort.
