Generally, I am not a great fan of Halkidiki, of course, NOT because of the beaches, as they do are amongst the best in Greece. However, Toroni beach is one of my favourites. The water is crystal clear and after some steps SO deep (great for snorkelling). Also, due to the fact that it's on the second peninsula (or else, the second finger), it is much quieter and less crowded than Kassandra (the first finger). Therefore, I would recommend it for family vacations. Toroni beach has absolutely nothing to be jealous of other beaches.Enjoy!
Wide an long. The sand was not so small... It was more like little, little rocks. But the good thing is that you don't have a problem with the sand everywhere on you and in you :)
A really nice beach, very warm and clean water, rarely any large waves, lots of restaurants. The sand is large and very easy to clean. The only thing we didn't like was the condition of the children playground, it was definitely in need of repair and renovation. Overall prefect for children.
One of the longest sandy beach in sitonia. Pure and warm water especially was exellent during our visit in september. Meanwhile you can visit byzantin castle - few km. away.
OK, this one is tricky... there's NOTHING especially wrong with Toroni's beach, but the bar is just set too high :) On the positive side - very long sand strip, relatively clean and well maintained, not too crowded, clean water, a few nice spots for scooba divers or snorkelers. Oh, and quite a lot of fishermen in the evening :)On the downside - the sand is coarse and even felt abrasive, it's a tricky for toddlers as the sea gets 2+ meters deep in a few steps only (but still perfectly useful) I also spotted some domestic litter on the sea floor - plastic and bricks, but nothing disturbing really. The biggest thing is the view, especially in the evening - the sunset is just gorgeous! This, plus the convenient location will surely make me drop by another time.
It is nice place believe me. There you can see the Bizantium castle also. But Porto Koufo is more than it.
wonderful beach and round view, crystal clear waters, sunny weather and smily people!! If you visit the place June and September it will not be such crowdy as everywhere else in Greece..
lovely clear water, clean beach, easy to get in and out of water .long narrow beach close to hotels and shops
I just returned from 2 week`s stay in Toroni, real pearl in Halkidiki concerning nature. That means, warm and cristal sea, top sandy beach, quiet surrounding, ideal for real peacefull hollyday. Toroni is very small place with one streat, 20-25 house`s for rent, one hotel, 3-4 small supermarket`s and 5-6 taverna`s. Without bank, ATM, or post office. It`s so small that your GPS will find him very dificult (like my GARMIN) and if u miss the little sign in Destenika entrance U`ll have to go 2-3 km further to find the next not marked entrance.Prices in taverna`s and market`s are 20% higher than in olther places nearby.Prtices at beach are also very high starting 3 EUR for coffee, small beer or juice.I recommend to be carefull when u book through internet because room pictures on "WWW" are not always like room`s in reality, u`ll be disapointed as i was, but nature beauty will cure al that. There also a lot of nearby places and beaches to visit and one recommended by me is Kalamitsi.PSSunset in Toroni is amazing!!!
Water in semptember still very warm, long beach with place for everybody, sandy but with small stones.
