If you are in Wien, and want to do some shopping, this is a great place. The SCS is a huge building, with many free parking possiblity (covered and uncovered), many entry to the shopping center and to the shops directly from outside too. Lots of restaurant, any kind of stores, many brand has not only one store here. Besides all of these this area is full of other stores from ready houses to wine shops, I guess anything you need can be bought in this area.
i could spend all day long in this nice shopping complex. You can find here everything starting from clothes up to furniture. There are also some nice restaurants with nice food.
Take the tram from the Opera Ring towards Baden and get off at vösendorf SCS stop next to the shopping centre. There are two with that same name, ignore the first as this is the small town before and get off at the next. You will see the shops and you know you are at the right stop. € 2.20 each ticket. Great shopping centre with all that you need.
This place is soo big! Easley I could lose here! You can find here everything from clothes shoes gadgets food gifts cosmetics sweets. My store No1 is Primark, it has clothes and its very cheap especially when sale is. Also I love TallyWejl H&M C&A NewYorker Zara Daglas Benetton etc. You can shop for your house also. Ikea has its store here also. Very big one. Parking space is very big! I love SCS and everytime when I am in Vienna, I go here.
Expected somehow better, the prices were often too high and selection of stores were mediocre. The Hollister store was disappointing compared to the one in Frankfurt I have visited a few months ago. The food court is nice , we liked the "Ischler Alm" restaurant. Mens toilet was stinky, smelled hard of urine :( Did not really like SCS - perhaps its not for me ?
Some people go crazy for shopping, especially clothes. If you are of that type, go there and enjoy. You will find various different clothes stores as well as a few others (electronics, supermarket, pharmacy, sex shop, … just to name a few). At the "Multiplex" part of the shopping center, there are also restaurants and a cinema. The whole place is heavily crowded at Friday evenings and Saturdays, and overflowing during advent shopping weekends. Arrival by car during those times is absolutely not recommendable.
Trip advisors recommend Maria Hilfer street as the best shopping area in Vienna. It is indeed a very interesting shopping street but is too long to walk thru ( No. 1 to 100 ) mainly on a rainy day. I was recommanded to visit the mall , known as the shopping center sud ( SCS) and it was a great experience. Shopping Center Süd is located just outside the city center and is Austria's biggest shopping center. Here you can find over 300 retailers including many of Europe's major chains, such as C&A,H&M, Salamander and many more.In order to get there, we took the Wiener Lokalbahn from opposite the Wien Opera towards Baden, and got off at stop Vösendorf-SCS. It takes about 30 minutes. The mall is elegant and wellcoming. I was offered a wheel chair for my wife who has difficulties to walk too much, so we could stroll around easily. All around you can find many restaurants and food stands , Turkish, Asiatic, Hungarian,Nordsee etc. This is an ideal place for shopping and spending a few hours especially on a rainy day.I am sure that any visit of mine to Wien will include this recommended site.
