The grounds are very pretty and tranquil. It was a little confusing trying to find a place to park and find a walking path map.
We did not stay at Charley Creek, but we did enjoy a scrumptious dinner in their fine restaurant. Every bite of the meal was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. After dinner we spent a bit of time in the piano bar and the wine store. Silas was a great help when we asked for wine suggestions and sampling. Also, don't miss the old-fashioned candy store. There are so many yummy selections. You will have a hard time making a decision. Truly worth a visit when you are in the Wabash area.
The pictures of it when everything is blossomed looks amazing. We were there in early December since it's free if you go through it yourself or you can hire a guide. It's just big enough to walk through easily after a meal and enjoy the sights. Just remember the time of year is crucial.
Peaceful and beautiful area. The labyrinth walking path was a one of a kind experience. The scenic and relaxing waterfall area is just one of the many stops on the map.
An amazing public garden hidden in a residential neighborhood.
Not sure about Winter time, but during Summer there was a neat little topiary maze like from the movie The Shining and neat flowers huge and vividly colored like from Willy Wonka! Who knew Wabash was hiding this little hidden gem? Great for kids!
This is place located in the city that lets you get away from the city. It's also a great to just sit and relax.
I first visited the gardens a few years ago and they were very nice. However, when I went back the other day I noticed things were starting to get a little run down. I noticed some of the statues were broken and missing. Overall the gardens are a nice place to visit if you're in Wabash, though I wish they were a bit bigger.
This might be the crown jewel of Wabash re-invented. The place is just lovely. Very well done and accessible. Definitely worth a stroll.
It took a bit to find this garden as it's hidden in a residential area. Once you get there you'll find helpful maps detailing what to look for and interesting information about the gardens. We walked the labrynth and enjoyed te different garden areas. It was just the right length for our family. There was a lot to do, but not so much that it was overwhelming.
