This is a little visited beach. The view is wonderful. It is a point so that you are surrounded on three side by Narragansett Bay and it is a wonderful view.
Nice place to pick shells and have a picnic. No big ocean impression here, but you do get the water, the seaside, some view and sea foul and lots and lots of shells...wear beach shoes. Pack a picnic or pick one up - picnic opportunities abound!
Found this park online while looking for places to walk our dog. you would never find it by driving by, it is through neighborhoods and side streets. It's not huge but plenty of room to sit or play in the grass, walk the sandy beach but a lot of broken shells. A nice view of the lighthouse. Small and quiet place!
Although this park is located in a development it was much more inviting than the Warwick Neck Lighthouse. Plenty of parking. Lots of grass for sunbathing, reading, socializing and picnicking. Room for ball playing and games. And of course the beach and fishing area. As I entered I was enveloped by the peace and serenity of years ago when my ancestors settled the area.
Packed a picnic bag and enjoyed the day....nice picnic tables and not crowded for a mid day saturday afternoon...lots of interesting sights to see
not the place I would swim but very nice beach area and very nice just to sit and enjoy the weather an view. On one side you can see thecity of Providence while on the other there is a lighthouse. Lots of people and a restroom close by. There is a small playground area too.Plenty of parking all free. there is a small memorial area too
The views are nice in this park. There is typically a nice breeze there which can be refreshing during the summer but cool at other times. I would not swim or eat shellfish from that area. It is a real good place to get in some walking.
Nice little park to sit on a bench and look at a lighthouse. There was a playground nearby for kids.
Good place to walk the beach and enjoy the summer view. You can walk along all the beach area and find some seaglass. People will be fishing in the area too. Pack a lunch no places to eat in the area. Yet, it is about a mile drive before you can find your first place to eat. Sit relax read and enjoy the view.
What a nice little park!! We enjoyed our visit to Warwick immensely. We saw all of Rhode Island's lighthouses during this trip, and used Warwick as our "home base" to return to each evening. Loved the lighthouse, and the town in general.
