Within walking distance of the Old Stagecoach Inn. Pleasant atmosphere and considerate staff. Packed sample boxes for us as gifts--lots of coffees to choose from.
Nice building, good coffee, but the visitors enter is a weak display of coffee and it's origins and processing. Very dimly lit. The cafe is nice for a cup of coffee.
Stopped here to get a cup of coffee before heading out for the day. Little did my husband and I know how awesome it would be. Tons of choices in coffee flavors!! We picked up 3 kinds we had never had before. While there we walked thru their coffee museum. A woman named Deb couldn't have been more helpful. She was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain to us all there was to now about Green Mountain coffee. We are so glad we stopped in!!!
We stopped here for morning coffee driving from Granville to Quebec. The coffee was simply the best. Strong & flavorful. I had a latte & my friend had a flavored coffee. The cheese & spinach scone as well as the molasses cookie were memorable. Clean bathrooms & friendly staff. The coffee was so good, we stopped here again on the way home.
This visitors center is essentially a room that has some displays about coffee beans connected to the Green Mountain Coffee version of a small Starbucks. We were there for less than 10 minutes.
We stopped by the coffee shop for some gift shopping and a good cup of coffee. We were greeted by a warm, friendly staff. We also received an interesting tour of the coffe process and a tasting of a new blend that was smooth and delicious. Fun stop if you're in Waterbury
I know other visitors have been disappointed in this visitor center, so I wanted to pitch in my two cents. My husband and I decided to give the Green Mountain visitor center a try because we knew this was a one time visit to the Waterbury area.If you like traditional museum environments, this will not be a wasted trip. If you expect a factory tour, you will be disappointed! The center provides a bit of history about the Waterbury area first. Then you walk into another room with a good bit of information about how Green Mountain gets its beans, what fair trade is, how the beans are processed, etc. We spent about 20 minutes in the exhibit area. Once you walk through the exhibit area, you reach the cafe. This is a small, working coffee shop for visitors and locals alike. There are about 8 coffees visitors can sample daily. The barista will point these out to you. You can sit back and enjoy your coffee or peruse the coffees and gifts for sale. All in all, we spent the better part of an hour in this attraction. It would not be suitable for kids and young children. I suspect they would be bored. But, if you like history and are just inquisitive in nature, this will not be a waste of time.
We came to the Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center looking to redeem our "tasting tour" through Waterbury after a disappointing stop at Ben & Jerry's. This worthwhile stop, located in an old railway station, did just that. In addition to purchasing some coffee (which they will try to match to your tastes), we spent some time browsing through the small yet very informative displays. These are designed to educate you about coffee, rather than just sell Green Mountain's brand, and I learned a lot in a short time! The Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center and Cafe is worth the detour off the I-89; it's a good place to spend a half hour!
Green mountain coffee is is great. I had a double espresso . I don't know how I can start to espess my gratitude. I will stay up all night thinking of how because I can. Maybe I will build a bicycle.
Stop there every time we are in the area. Great coffee, pleasant people, and if you time it correctly, a train pulls in. Perfect.
