Great place to walk and enjoy the views. Loved the grounds and the views. Easy to get to. Have a picnic there.
we love seeing all the birds and trees through out this park.the zoo is close by.the water sounds are relaxing.i take many photos here of the rushing water and blowing trees.
Very nice park located just next to downtown Wilmington. Great place to take a hike and enjoy nature. Close to the Brandywine Zoo, which is small and has a few animals. Enjoyed walking the trails and being one with nature on a low humidity day. I especially like walking near the river. I always have my cell phone with me and have not felt unsafe walking in this area. However, it is near downtown Wilmington so I would not consider walking here after dark or by myself. Always have a walking buddy with you.
It's a quiet pretty park with nice paths and landscaping. Our family had a relaxing day picnicking and walking around the grounds.
Nice little park alongside the riverfront. Plenty of Ducks, geese to feed... picnic tables galore. There is a nice little zoo that is very reasonably priced, that could take an hour or 2 to see. There is also a nice playground at the top of the hill perfect for kids of all ages.
Great trails, very quiet.Very nice and helpful staff at the center.Trail markers could have been a little more accurate.
Any season, it is fun and very good exercise to walk te trails at the Brandywine Creek Stare Park. I will caution you, take a park map with you, which you can pickup at the Park Ranger station. It will greatly assist in navigating the myriad of trails and get you to the creek-side trails the fastest!
This park is just beautiful. Wonderful views, fantastic hiking. If you need to get those hiking muscles in shape this is the place for you! Wonderful spots for picnics with beautiful views.
Spent the day at the park walking the trails and enjoying the sunshine. We were accompanied by my sister's dog, who also enjoyed the outing. Many trails located within the park for hiking, running, or walking. All trails are clearly marked. We did have a rather large snake cross our path while walking one of the trails. We stopped and let it pass. I must admit that the snake freaked me out a tad, but I was in his house and he had the right of way in my opinion. Stop by the Brandywine Creek and feed the ducks or just sit on a rock and let nature put on a show for you. There was a 3.00 entry fee when we visited, but it might be waived after Labor Day. .
A beautiful park in the heart of Wilmington. Don't miss the Rose garden in summer or the sweet little zoo. My favorite place to walk the dogs ... here a few times a week communing with nature!
