We took our whole family here (7 grandkids) for an afternoon. Lifeguards, float to jump off, place to put your canoe or kayak in & go out on the 'lake' or down the river. Don't forget to look for the osprey nest.
A little hard to find, small sign on Rte 86 headed into Lake Placid from Wilmington, actually called Everest BeachRest rooms, picnic benches, bbq (bring your own charcoal)Sandy beach, and playground with a little of everything.Covered area if you get too much sun or a little shower pops up a great find and it's free
newly redone beach area, lighting at night, picnic area, boat launch area, canoing and kayaking on the river, bathrooms, swimming area with lifeguard in the summer. free concerts on Thursday nights in the summer
It appears that this was redone within the last year or two. It was clean, and surprisingly well appointed. Nice job Wilmington.
Nicely maintained beach and park. There was a playground, picnic tables, and a small beach. Wouldn't have found this if a local hadn't told us about it.
Stopped in for a quick swim after a hike. Very beautiful beach, life guard on duty , clean change rooms
A great place to visit on the way home from adventures in Lake Placid or Whiteface - good access for fishing and great facilities.
This is a nice beach area, albeit a bit small, but it doesn't get enough people to ever really be crowded. The water is cool and feels great on a warm day. There is a playground on site as well as canoe rentals. There are plenty of picnic tables and even a pavilion for those rainy days. A restroom is available with an outdoor shower.
Clean and quiet. This beach is a great spot to spend a warm summer day at. Great rentals and the water was clean. Barbecues were available just bring your charcoal! Wonderful spot!
This park has been recently rebuilt after a bad storm. It is a good place to bring something to eat and enjoy the view. Quiet and peaceful we walk there every night when we stay in the area. There are boat rentals and a fishing dock for the handicapped and wheelchairs. Large shelter and even outdoor shower makes this small park a real gem. Great tip for saving money. Get a sub from The Little Supermarket. It is near by. Ask a local where it is. Up the road past the North Pole Motel and take a right at the candy shop. Down a few blocks the best subs I ever had.
