O.K., Spring Bay is gorgeous, no doubt about it. I don't need to repeat that there's rocks very similar to those at The Baths. However, if you want an even prettier beach, after enjoying Spring Bay, find the trail to Little Trunk Bay. As you come off the path from the parking lot of Spring Bay, you will be facing the water. To get to Little Trunk Bay, go to the right and walk through some trees, there's kind of a path. Don't walk in the water around the rocks like we did - it's slippery (I swore my husband was trying to kill me). You will come to a beach that looks almost identical to Spring Bay except there's no people climbing the rocks and foolishly jumping into waist-deep water. Continue walking the beach, still to your right. You are going to come to a path of sorts that leads to a rock with a rope to pull yourself up the rock. You will turn left through cactus (really), then through some trees and some more rocks then you come across the most beautiful sandy, palm-tree lined beach I've ever seen. There are no amenities here to speak of; although I hate back-packs, I'd recommend putting a towel & some water in one as you really need two hands when climbing the one rock - and going back down it. Please pack back out whatever you took in.
Good beach. Not crowded like the Baths and less wave action. Easy to get to, just a short easy walk from the parking lot.
This is a must see. Hardly anyone was there and it is beautiful. Just be advised it is a short walk from where you park.
went to spring bay the day after being at the baths As others said, much less crowded. Great boulders to walk though and all the fun of the baths with less of a crowd. Waves were huge and amazing when we went. Walk not that far from car, but it has no services. Great way to spend a lazy afternoon.
Very lovely beach. Lots of activity. loved the waves, umbrellas, food sometimes available. Waves quiet large. Lots of activity
We tried to go tho the Baths and it was packed. We couldn't even park so we left. Went 1 min down the road to Spring Bay and it was amazing!! So quiet and serene. There were maybe 20 other people there and it was gorgeous! Skip the Baths and go here.
We love this beach - early mornings and evenings are best here as the beach is not huge and sometimes groups from cruise ships can be dropped off for a few hours mid day, which meant that it wasn't as quiet as in previous years. Still one of our favorite beaches, and jumping into the clear water from the rocks keeps the kids busy for hours.
Our taxi driver was a star - he warned us of the thousands of tourists that had come off the cruise ship and that The Baths would be crazy-busy. He suggested Spring Bay.I have been to The Baths before, and it was worth the trip, but for follow up trips I will certainly go back to Spring Bay. Great snorkeling, quiet beach, nice place to waste a few hours!
Spring Bay was my favorite beach because of all the rocks, channels, caves and "private pools". Parts of it are similar to The Baths, but there are very few people there. There are plenty of picnic tables in the shade, and the parking is not too far. There is also a path to the right to another beach (Little Trunk Bay, I think) that is worth exploring. It's also a beautiful beach with almost no one there.
