Pirtle Winery is a short drive from home so we visit often. Our trip today maintained our declaration that it's our favorite local winery. Sat outside under the vine-covered arbor and enjoyed a bottle of Blueberry wine. The new indoor seating area will be a huge bonus during the colder months and the renovated bathrooms an excellent decision! If you're in the area, GO!
My wife and I discovered this gem a couple of years ago. This winery is top notch! The staff is ALWAYS pleasant and the wine is excellent. They have a great selection of wines and a beautiful garden on the side of the building to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine. They also offer bread baskets to enjoy with your wine and they are WELL worth it. We've had nothing but a great time EVERY time we've been there. The owner is generally seen walking around and helping out and is very friendly. They offer some fun events on second Saturday's as well. I can't say enough great things about this place, their wine and their staff (especially Joe!)If you go to Weston and don't go to this winery you are truly missing out!
I visited The Pirtle Winery with 6 girlfriends while we were in Weston, Missouri. It is a charming! The wine is very good and the staff is so friendly that we could have stayed for hours. We bought many bottles and opened a few while we were there. I plan to stop again next time I am in Weston.
We did the wine tasting while we were in Weston and enjoyed tasting all their different wines. Mary was very helpful in describing all the wines and very nice to talk to. We recommend anyone to go and visit this winery. Of course hard to leave without buying a few bottles!
We had been meaning to go to Pirtle Winery for some time and just never made it. So we decided that today was the day. It is a very interesting winery with very good wine. Did the tasting with a very knowledgeable young man named Colton. Wound up purchasing 6 bottles of wine.
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. We stopped by Pirtle to do a little tasting. Everyone was super friendly and we were immediately greeted with great wine. Rather than making us try everything she asked us what our preference was for wine and developed the tasting from there. However she also had us try some things or outside of our usual go to's. We ended up purchasing a cherry wine and a wine and cheese basket. Because it was so hot we sat in the lower cellar and enjoyed the afternoon delicious wine and wonderful cheese, bread and meat. This for me definitely be a stop in next time we're in Weston.
Go in to this old church and you are greeted like they've known you for years. Friendly place to be. You get to taste a large variety of wines. You can also purchase a basket of meats, cheeses and bread and eat lunch under the arbor or downstairs in incliment weather. The baskets aren't expensive, they ran around 14 dollars for the small and 19 for the large.
This is by far the most unique winery I have visited. It is in an old Church and the building is gorgeous! They have a vine covered porch with seating and you can purchase a basket with cheeses and crackers to enjoy with your wine. I loved the Meads..we do not have that in the south.
Pirtle Winery is one of our favorites! The wine sampling is fun and the staff are very knowledgeable about the grapes and the wines. We enjoy sitting outside with a few bottles of wine and a basket full of cheeses, crackers, and sausage. The time slips away very quickly as you sit, drink, relax, and enjoy the company.
Visited Pirtle Winery at the end of our day on recent trip to Weston with friends. This was the highlight of the trip and with we thoroughly enjoyed the tasting led by Scott Pirtle. Together we ended up with 6 bottles of wine. This is the original winery in town...nothing else compares!
