We had a wonderful culinary adventure in Vancouver visiting 4 yummy restaurants with fantastic tour guides. If you are from out of town, this is perfect for you! Not only do you get to experience delicious restaurants, but you also get a tour of the city and it's fantastic sights! The restaurants are unique, delicious and have charming atmospheres that add to this adventure. I highly recommend trying it out - you won't be disappointed!
Rick and his staff (including chef Sam) took over a local Vancouver restaurant for an evening, and gave us an incredible multi-course dining experience ! The food was wonderful, with extreme attention to detail, and the service was just excellent. Rick is a wonderful, generous, host, with so much knowledge of local cuisine. Thanks, Rick and White Moustache.
If you are a foodie, or you just want to have several great tastings, this is the place. These fellows do a terrific job not just with the restaurants they select, but it's actually a good way to see much of the city. In other words, a great tour. There were 4 of us from Friday Harbor, WA. and we had a grand time. As this was a package deal that we bought at a charity auction, I'm not sure about the cost but it's well worth it. Oh, the only downside - my wife and I ate too much at the first 2 stops. Try to pace yourself.
This is the second time I have done this amazing food tour! The first time with husbands and this time for a girls' night out! We had a fabulous time! Rick and Lee are amazing hosts and really know their food and the city. Because a couple of us had done the tour before, they made sure that is was a great new experience for all of us! And even though we are all from Vancouver, they provided so much new information about the city's restaurants, history etc.Now on to the amazing food! Rick and Lee really do their research. The restaurants included one we had never heard of (a hidden gem, for sure) and another we had all tried to get into but couldn't because it was so popular (on White Moustache tours everything is planned out, prearranged and so easy!) The third stop had some very creative, unique food and an amazing cocktail (yes, a drink is included at each stop!) and of course, at the last restaurant we enjoyed the most delicious desserts.Whether it's a special celebration or you are entertaining out of town guests this summer or just for an awesome night on the town, I highly recommend White Moustache BC! You will NOT be disappointed!
This was our 1st visit to Vancouver and the 1st time that we had done a food tour. Rick greeted us at the hotel we stayed in. We were driven through the city to 4 dining places. Lee, his partner went ahead of us to make sure that the food was ordered prior to our arrival. By doing so, there was minimal waiting time for our food. Our 1st place was located in Chinatown - but it was not Chinese food, it was a German place. The German streetfood - sausages paired with 4 different types of beer were really tasty. The 2nd place was a famous pizza restaurant, whereby the pizza came unsliced and the taste was delicious. We had a great house red wine with it. The 3rd place that we were brought to was a fusion Chinese restaurant/pub in Gastown. The restaurant owner was really friendly. The food was spectacular and the yummy alcoholic tea cocktail was potent. Rick also brought us a small japanese delight, sushi from another place. Our final destination was a dessert bistro where we had chocolate cake and coffee/tea. After that, we had a mini tour of the city and university with the nightlights. It was really a wonderful culinary adventure with Rick. Besides that, Rick is really great company too! His partner, Lee, offered to bring us to a dimsum place for brunch 2 days later (Not part of the food tour). The restaurant has authentic Chinese flavour, beautiful scenery and good non costly Chinese food. We definitely loved our experience with White Moustache!
We just got home after a weekend in Vancouver, BC. On Friday night 4 of us joined Rick on his White Moustache tour. We were picked up at our hotel and during the evening we went to 4 totally different restaurants where Rick ordered each one's best dishes for us to try. These were places we never would have found on our own as visitors. Each restaurant was unique and delicious. He went out of his way to show us different parts of the city and then recommended several places we might try on Saturday. Needless to say the place we chose for Saturday night was exceptional! Thank you Rick - we highly recommend this adventure!
Even though I live in the area, Rick and Lee were able to take us to some true treasures in the city. The food was excellent and they even went out of the way to find dishes for some of our dietary restrictions. The time and thought that went into planning the tour was evident. Walking into a busy restaurant with food and drinks already ordered was a great way to tour the restaurants in Vancouver. We will definitely book another White Mustache tour again in the future!
This was an AWESOME tour. My husband and I were in Vancouver with my Mom prior to going on a cruise and it was a great way to spend our first evening. It was a great way to see the city and try various foods and drinks. Rick and Lee were great hosts. I am gluten free and the places they took us were super accommodating. I had the best pie ever! We loved the no hassle approach with this tour; all the driving, the parking, the ordering, the tipping at restaurants, it was all taken care of! There was literally no waiting or wasted time and the food was outstanding. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone who loves a good time and good food. We will definitely book another tour if we return to Vancouver. We LOVED it.
Went on a White Moustache Tour with girlfriends. Had such a great time! Rick and Lee know how to take care of you. They were able to accommodate our food restrictions and had great stories to tell about all the food and the other great restaurants along the way. Vancouver is a great city for foodies and Rick and Lee know their stuff!
I love Rick, Lee and Sam!My tour was a surprise graduation present, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience! Whisked around the city to eat and drink, I was always engaged and excited for the next stop! Every place was unique and delicious. I have happily taken friends and family back to some of my favorite stops.More recently, I have had the pleasure of attending Sam's pop up events, and was equally impressed. Sam has a knack for creating delicious and daring flavors, and his events go off without a hitch! He has great staff, and Rick and Lee are fabulous hosts!I encourage everyone to try the greatest food tour on wheels!
