Dieppe Gardens is located right downtown in Windsor directly on the Waterfront. It has meticulously maintained flowerbeds and interesting vegetation. There are quiet places to walk and to sit and you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Detroit River and Detroit Skyline. The views you see of the Detroit Skyline in every TV broadcast are filmed from Dieppe Gardens in Windsor, This is the right-up-close place to watch the giant Lake Freighters and Ocean Going Ships sail by. In the summer at the foot of Ferry Street is the port where the Great Lakes Cruise Ships tie up. Sometimes you see the Coast Guard or a Tall Ship tied up here. There is a nice respectful memorial up toward Riverside Drive. This is a beautiful and quiet place right downtown. If you're in Windsor for a conference, on business or just passing through take time to enjoy Dieppe Gardens.
Take a walk along Detroit river in his nicely done landscape garden providing some nice place for kids to play as well as joggers to practice their skills...
This is a beautiful riverfront park which is a must see if you are in the Windsor area. Plenty of places to sit and people watch, have a picnic, view the Detroit skyline and waterfront, watch the boat activity on the Detroit river, or go for a leisurely walk or jog. This is also a place to reflect on history as it commemorates previous wars with various sculptures and displays throughout the park. You do have to pay for parking, however, but there is plenty and if one lot is full, just go to another lot as they are situated all along the waterfront. Cost for parking is minimal.
When downtown Windsor take a stroll through Dieppe park ,view the waterfront and the beautiful scenery.People friendly whether you are walking, roller blading ,jogging or riding a bike ,the lanes are safe.Just looking for fresh air and some relaxing time, pull out a book sit back on the bench and enjoy.
Major upgrades in last two years. Riverfront park. Lot of activities. Walking/jogging walkway. Safe place to walk. Just a couple of hundred feet from Caesars Windsor. Lake boats and Ocean going boats sail within three hundred feet of shore.
A very nice park. It is meticulously maintained and has a great view of Detroit. There is an area with a small pond with waterfall from the street.
Good part of Canadian history is displayed here, garden is very well maintained and it is a joy sitting there with a coffee enjoying the views and smells of many different flowers.
Very clean, the lawn well groomed, the flower gardens were beautifully maintained. The City of Windsor does a fantastic job on its water front,
I love our riverfront. I walk down here every day at lunch to sit on the bench and enjoy the view. Windsor definitely lucked out in our riverfront department. Spanning almost the entire river uninterrupted, you can start down at Dieppe Park and walk all the way to Old Sandwich town. There are plenty of good spots for photo opportunities, and you will be at the base of Ouellette Ave. as well which will give you plenty of access to our various pubs and restaurants!
This is a gorgeous attraction along the Riverwalk that is free to stroll through. There are hundreds and hundreds of beautiful flowers throughout the Garden. There are memorials as well. It is so pretty and doesn't cost a thing. Detroit has a great skyline from across the river you can see. It would take you about an hour and a half to walk through, although we were there for about 3 hours!
