Super experience all the way around, from Barbara who helped us with the booking to the staff that checked us in, to the guides that took us around the course. Everyone was super friendly and safety was certainly a priority (you are always buckled in if you're off the ground). You're not terrible high off the ground, but several of the platforms are freestanding without railings so if you're not comfortable with heights (like me), it's a bit disconcerting. Still, a great time with a lot of zips including two long ones at the end. There are two minor suggestions that I would have: There is some significant uphill walking after a couple of the initial zips to get to the top of the course. If you're young and in good shape, no problem, but if you're older, it can be a strain. An option to use the ATV to get older participants to the top would be helpful. Secondly, because of some the members in our group brought two extra people, we ended up with 11 people in our tour. That made it really crowded on a couple of the platforms and made the tour much slower. Not really the Company's fault, but still a bit frustrating.Overall, however, it was still a great time and we'll almost certainly be back.
We received a groupon deal certificate from our family as welcome gift visiting NC this summer. Our kids wanted to join as well and so we went with two boys age 6 and 9 August on a pretty summer day.Carolina Ziplines is easy to find as there are clear signs along the ways close to Hanging Rock State Park. Parking in front of the office we checkied in (please reserve days ahead!!) and we were welcomed by the owner and the 3 men who were our guides of this 9am tour. We got our equipment and met the other 2 participants for the 9am tour.Off we went right at 9am and we totally enjoyed the 2h tour. We were explained the rules and easy handsigns to follow. 3 things to have in mind when seeing the guides handsigns, having all to do with the breaks. We have been explained that we do not attach ourselves to the ropes, the guides would do so to insure we are all safe. Therefore: we were just to enjoy the number of zipline rides we got and walking "through the trees" always attached for safety reasons. We felt very safe at all times and the guides have been great! Our kids LOVED it, they would have stayed all day if they could. Totally recommend this as single, family, team or other adventure. Take good shoes and some clothing that could get a bit dirty (but really not much) youa re provided with helmets, gloves and all other equipment. Please have in mind, it can be slippy in the area, if it had rained - the tours go with pretty much any weather!GREAT FUN! Not cheap but unique!
Great place to spend an afternoon! Excellent outdoor playground for kids. Bring a picnic. Pets are welcome. My husband and oldest went zip lining, while my youngest and I followed them on foot vid nature trails. So everybody enjoyed the afternoon.
The staff was great and our guides (Scottie and Noah) were awesome. It was such a fun way to spend a cold afternoon with friends in the woods enjoying the wilderness. The guides were very professional and made things fun and easy to do. The ziplines were great and the course took us a good 2 hours to complete. It was nice to be able to zip and truly let go. We will be back in the near future...we may even try the dark tour.
I live 5 minutes away and had never been. Went with my daughter and her family which included two boys 9 and 12. We had a great time. Ryan and Zach were the best. They were so good with the kids. They were able to get across important safety messages in such a way the kids probably didn't even know they were safety messages. Overall a great way to spend a couple of hours. Wish they offered season passes.
We did the night time zip lining. It was great! The staff were great and very entertaining. I've been zip lining in different places but never at night. We really enjoyed this!
If there's such a thing as a zipline nerd our guides fit the description. I'd say that's exactly what you want in a zipline guide.Someone who's confident and passionate about what they do. Great location. Great guides. Friendly owners who welcomed us to their property. It was a blast.
We went on this trip as a family. One of us has intellectual deficits and there are not many adventure sports that we can do as a group because of this. However,These people were very accomodating and we had really good fun. There are about 7-8 ziplines of varying speed and intensity but all very safe. You are harnessed and cabled the entire time, so no safety concerns at all. Our guide was very funny but very watchful. He guided my family member through this and included us in every zipline. Barbara who did the booking was very attentive to detail and we had a great trip.
This is a very well run Zip line tour near Hanging Rock State Park. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We had a large group ranging from 6 years to 60 years old. Everyone had a great time. The best zip line was the side by side zip lines where you "race" your partner down and across the meadow.Fun for all! I would go again.
Personal touch from everyone we came in contact with -- from Barb, in making the reservations, responding to emails, to arriving and being welcomed so warmly by Whitney, to the safety conscious, fun loving charm of our guides -Jeremy and Grant. We were celebrating our 40 wedding anniversary that week and wanted to do something a little different. There were all ages there. The group we were with had a dad & teenage son, grandparents with their 3 grandsons ranging from 6-15. We would highly recommend Carolina Ziplines. They go out of their way to make you feel special and SAFE - while having fun!!! We think next time we might like to experience this at night. :-) And bring more people with us!!!
