This was a small museum with interesting exhibits, I especially enjoyed the pathology of dinosaurs. I feel the price was a little high for the number of exhibits.
I took my brother and his wife to see this exhibit. What a collection. I highly recommend visiting this facility, they can charge twice as much and it would still be worth it. (fee is very low) The staff was very friendly and took time to answer all of our questions. They are very knowledgeable and very professional, I learned a great deal. Take time to visit and you will not be disappointed.
The. Museum is quite good for small town.great for kids. I learned quite a bit and this was not my first dinosaur museum.
I know it requires a considerable sum of money to employ paleontologists, but for what it costs to get in, I expected a bit more. I and the kids were less than impressed.
The museum was pretty cool. We had 5 children to entertain from ages 1 to 6. The museum had some life size replicas of dinosaurs, some from millions of years ago & from real fossils. Some were suspended from the ceiling. There was a small interactive area that all age children good take part in. The museum did offer a guided tour but we chose to bypass that. Overall its an interesting place for children maybe a little older that have an interest in dinosaurs. There is a great gift shop with items for all ages and budgets. The price was reasonable with free admission for 4 & under. I would recommend if you have a dinosaur lover in the family. Website- rmdrc.com
This would be a great place to bring the kids or grandkids. There are life-sized replicas, plenty of skeletons, much to see and learn. In the gift shop, there are real fossils and nice gifts, the real thing, like megaladon tooth fossils. My personal favorite: a Tyrannosaurus Rex claw.
We stopped here thinking the kids would have a great time. I would say it was just okay. Price to get in was a bit pricey (12 for adults and 8 for kids). I probably would have liked it more if the price for admission was cut in half. There was a guided tour but I didn't think the 7 year old I was traveling with would have been interested in listening to a guided tour. There were not many interactive displays so there was a lot of reading. Perhaps if you had a child that was extremely interested in dinosaurs this would be a good stop.
If you are a die hard fan of dinosaurs, this place has very detailed exhibits. However, it is extremely small & very, very over priced. You will likely not spend even a hour here.
The dinosaur museum is small, however they change it up a couple of times a year. There are some hands on things for kids to do. The tour is short but informative. If you can go when they are cleaning the fossils that is great!!! It's a good short first time museum. What the museum actually does in the back is what makes this place great and needs support. There is a shop for souvenirs and for geocachers, there is one near by.
We took our 5 year old son and he wasn't that interested, but I was very happy with the museum. It was the best fossil exhibit I have seen with hands on exhibits and ability to see real fossils being prepared. Use a coupon from the local area attraction guide.
