This was our second time zipping with Navitat, it was amazing! The 1/4 mile zip line was crazy. I would recommend this to anyone for a great day of adrenalin rush.
Had a blast! Out instructors were very friendly and funny which made the adventure even funner! Takes a few zips to learn how to brake, but after that it's so fun! Great views!! Can not wait to visit again!
So fun! We had great guides that made the experience even better. Highly recommended! The guides were also our photographers and at the end we paid $45 for a jump drive with all our pictures on it. Again so fun - a definite must-do!
I took my senior Girl Scout troop (six teenagers) for the Zipline Canopy Tour. We loved that we spent most of the time in the trees; there is very little walking from line to line. The guides were amazing! They completely explained everything and made everyone feel comfortable. They also shared all kinds of info about the forest and the zipline system. You can tell they love their jobs!
This is a great experience nestled in an beautiful forest so close to LA. Very well run outfit with some nice long distance zips. October 2011.
I recently experienced Big Pines Ziplines with my daughter as a Father's Day present. This came after I did Navitat in Asheville, North Carolina about 3 years ago. I wanted to see the difference between the two especially since I had such a great time in North Carolina. Big Pines is more exciting and faster than Navitat but the scenery in North Carolina was a lot prettier especially considering that we did it in October during a leaf change. Big Pines definately met expectations and our guides Tip and Po Hi were very knowledgeable and friendly. They make safety a big part of the operation. I never felt like my life was in danger. We had a group of 7 all together. The ride up the mountain was driven by Carlton and he made it exciting and funny at the same time. They play Top Gun music, Danger Zone and the Indiana Jones theme song on the way up. Some of the zips were extremely fast and steep. The best part was the race lines at the end. The rope bridges kind of gave me the creeps but I did want some adrenaline rushes. I did want to feel like I was a bit out of my comfort zone. Exciting to say the least. I'd highly recommend Big Pines if you are in the area. A definate bargain for the buck.
Had a wonderful time! The guides, Poe and Emily I believe, were both great. The pictures they took were great. I took a gopro and they had a mount on the helmet for me to attach it to. We went on the longer tour which was fun! It's a great way to see the mountains.
We visited big pine during a work trip in early Oct. We were looking for something to do on a friday, I called them up that morning and they had a spot open for 4 of us that day. Great drive up in the mountains to the cool little town of wrightwood. We get strapped up in our gear, and a couple other people joined us. The van ride is CRAZY, sure sets the mood :) Zip lines were great and very safe, I have done zips in Costa Rica and this compared well. If you have never done this, its worth it! Cool rappelling too and some bridges to really break up the adventure. Def would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a fun time. Hit up the restaurant across the street for a very cold beer and some amazing charbroiled burgers.
Forget about snow tubing, Zipline is the new way to enjoy the mountain. Stevie and Chowie are great tour guides; "assisted" us in canon ball, rappeling,& those scared new timers like me! HeheheTip: check their website for options, schedule your trip & dress in layers.
Absolutely great experience! The guides were very professional and safe. Very exhilarating ride. A++
