All I can say is my taste buds will never be the same, talk about a delicious brew. So happy this company was able to expand to PA.
I am not much of a beer fan, I like it I just don't drink it often. For $10 you get to taste 4-4oz selections from the vast variety they have. I tried the harvest ale, blonde ale and Cape May IPA and since I was then completely full I tried their root beer. All 4 were delicious. The staff was friendly and fun. The price was right. You can buy a growler and take home what you want. They have lots of t-shirts and stuff. The only thing this was our 3rd attempt to visit and the other 2 times were packed too full to enjoy ourselves so we decided to wait. We got there right when they opened and there was a line waiting to get in. I guess everyone knows how good it is. You can pack a lunch or dinner and sit at a table and enjoy!
The beer is great and huge selection. The tasting room is too small for it's popularity. The bartenders are knowledgable and friendly. GREAT PLACE!
A great casual place with a fun environment to taste local craft beers. Also has their own in-house brewed root beer for the kids. At the Cape May airport it is a bit off the beaten track, but definitely give it a try!
Stopped here for the free tour which was informative, interesting and cool. Also did the taste test. Ten bucks for 4- 4oz. tastes of craft beers. all which were excellent. and you get to keep the souvenir keg shaped glass.Definitely recommended.
Traveling up the Atlantic coast to New Jersey from Virginia via the Cape May Ferry we stopped in at the Cape May Brewery. Great selection and wide variety of tasty beers. Mid winter visit to a shore attraction and the tasting room was packed. A good sign. Beers were creative and ever changing but are spot on for drinkability. Staff friendly and set up of tasting bar made for enjoyable visit even with number of people present. Tasting room is in non descript building so don't be put off by that. Only wish that they had a greater selection of bottles to take home as they only had 3 of their beers bottled. Growlers with screw type cap not best design so bring your own growler if you want to take home a growler. Plan on visiting many times in the future!Suggestion to owners: would be nice to offer brew pub food with a selection of local Cape May Salts (oysters).
Third or so visit for my husband's birthday. Crowded, relaxed atmosphere but a bit chilly inside. We got a seat at the bar and enjoyed many tasty samples. Loved the sweet stout and honey porter. Really love the, comfy Cape May Brewing sweatshirt that my hubby surprised me with and I was warm after that and ready for a pint of stout ! We enjoyed our growler the next day. Met some nice people too. Inexpensive way to hang out on a Saturday afternoon...highly recommend
My husband and I came here on our visit to Cape May with another couple. They had a wide selection of their own well-brewed beers. My favorite was the pumpkin shandy, but we did several samples. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes beer and a laid back atmosphere. A little off the beaten path, but get a taxi or Uber. It's well worth the trip!
What a great place! Very worth the short drive out of Cape May proper! My wife & I visited on the Friday afternoon of the Exit 0 Jazz Fest and there was a nice size crowd waiting for the 2PM (free) tour and many others just sampling the many great brews! Friendly and efficient wait staff!I took advantage of their $10.00 sampling: a classic Cape May Brewing Co. pint glass (that you can keep as a souvenir) along w/ 4 chips for 4 oz. samples. Great classic beers and lots of "themes & variations"! Great prices for growlers & refills too! Even a board w/ "up & coming brews" to pique your interest! PS: My wife- a non-beer drinker- enjoyed the home-made root beer!
Very good beer! Loved the tastings. No food is served on sight but I think you can bring some if you would like. It is a must stop on your visit to Cape May.
