I am from Finland originally, so when I heard about Magic Ice ice gallery, I started laughing - what can the Caribbeans possibly know about the tundra and ice ?..So I had to check this place out. It is located right in the heart of the small downtown area, and worth visiting. They give you a warm jacket to wear and a free drink that is included in the admission ($20 if I remember correctly). The place is full of very cool ice sculptures and an ice bar where one can chill (literally) and have a drink or two. Very interesting and different place to visit, so I recommend. Interestingly enough they close at 5 pm, so go early.
We passed this place several times before we decided to go in, WOW, it is a must see, so amazing, but yes very cold, they give you a coat ,gloves & leg warmers, but you will love it & they have a bar made of ice in there & you get a shot included in the admission price, it will help warm you up!!!
Stopped in at magic ice and was worth the walk through. Not sure it's worth the $22 per person but still very cool in more ways than one. Lots of photo ops while inside and a great way to cool off if your feeling really overheated. Tips take your time to actually look at some of the details and/or figure out what the sculptures are.Have someone to take pics of your group(this is more for the honeymooners) we went through a lull where there was only us in the immediate area and had to wait for someone to get a group pic.Worth it ? Yes but take your time to get your money's worth
It cost us $22 per person to do it. The ice sculptures were amazing but its not that big of a place so you're done with the tour in like 5 minutes. The bartender was very nice and we got our complimentary shot.
Had good fun there. Amazing sculptures. Make sure to wear closed shoes and not flip flops! Can get cold inside but warm jacket is provided
The magic ice attraction in St Thomas was awesome, its something different to see. The girls who work there were all very nice but the man who was at the bar giving us our complimentary shots was very very rude. He rushed us through (which we payed $22.00 for a quick 5 minute visit) it would have been nice to take our time and ask questions about the ice sculptures but this man yelled at us and made it seem like we were being a burden to him. At the end of the tour we were holding the door for a man in a wheel chair to get through the door and we again yelled at us to close the door. Very ignorant! I would recommend letting this man go because clearly he can't handle working in the service industry. We payed to be there on our vacation and we were executing to have a good time. I gave this attraction a poor only because of this man recking our experience.
We did enjoy the Ice Bar, with all of the ice sculptures, and the rum was good. However, it only takes 15-30 minutes to do it justice.
We love the heat in St Thomas, but the Ice will shock you! What a surprise.........and professionally done. This is a great escape from the repetitious jewelery shops. Who woulda thunk it??
A group of us went on a Caribbean cruise in December and discovered Magic Ice on St. Thomas. What an amazing place! I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the island. Although we were all adults, this would be a great place for families to visit as well. Cameron and Cassandra were wonderful hosts and made sure that we had a great time experiencing this beautiful and unique place. And don't forget your free flavored rum shot at the ice bar inside!
We enjoyed the ice bar. The sculptures are amazing. Take your time and check them all out. I would go here again.
