I've seen Beauty and the Beast on Broadway but enjoyed this experience so much more! I bought tickets for all 3 shows but wasn't ready for the experience to end so was able to get the very last seat for the very last show! Heaven was smiling on me for my birthday weekend. when my son Jordan invited me up from Texas for the weekend to see him perform, I thought, "Oh, this will be a fun experience visiting a little community theater." But I was blown away by the caliber of the performances. I wish I could have met your choreographer. She did a stupendous job. How do I single out any one actor? Dave and David, Anya, Hailey and Katelyn, Jordan and Rachel, Kaden and Bonnie, the Justins, Luke, Jason, Rebecca, "Mikey" Haley, Danielle, the Merrills...I could go on and on. I felt like a part of the family by the time it was over. Your fans are SUPER fans and I have become just one more! :) Camilla and David, thanks for Behind Stage Doors so I can relive it all. Annmarie and Patrick, thanks for finding that very last ticket. Boyd, thanks for helping me find my keys when I locked them in my car. And to Roger and Heidi...No words can express my appreciation for creating this experience. Sound, Lights, Sets...As I said, "Spectacular"! And thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday with Fudge, Floats, Dole Pineapple Whip, a Hot Fudge and a Caramel Sundae and a very well designed souvenir Playmill bottle of water. Not really a "5" but a "10+". This could be a new birthday tradition for me. I'll be back!
WE love the playmill. My young children love it and my older teenagers love it as well. Great performers and great atmosphere. It is a highlight of our trip as we return every other year for a family reunion. I Highly Recommend the Playmill Theater!
We loved the production of Les Misérables it was well done. The Music and voices were wonderful and acting by all the cast. We enjoy the playmill and would encourage everyone to go. I like it as much or more than a broadway production. We will return in the future because we have never been disappointed. Thank you to the Playmill, continue on!!
it was all awesome, the play was well done, the actors were well skilled, we will definately go again in the future
Very pricey, and imature actors. the cast was OK but needed more work. We would not go back. No translation services.
My little sister was in Les Miserables this summer, so I got to go up a few times and see her perform. Our whole family went up with a large group of people for the last show of the season, and it was amazing. Anya REALLY cut her hair, Dave Walker sang amazing, everyone did such a great job, including my little sister. Each of the cast members are so much fun to be around and are always trying to make everyone feel welcome and important. I am really missing watching these amazing people perform.
We saw Les Miserables in West Yellowstone at the Playmill Theatre in early June. A few months later we again saw the same play performed at another theatre with professional paid actors. We expected the set and acting at our local theatre house to be far superior. It wasn't! The Playmill theatre had set the bar too high. WOW--what a treat we had at the Playmill in West Yellowstone. We will return.
The actors are close to you, no matter where you sit in this small theatre. There are always an entertaining, humorous warm-up skits before the main show. The actors are great! Well rehearsed shows. I imagine this being as close as we can get to old west itinerant / traveling theatre shows. They sell delicious fudge for cash at intermission.
For many years we owned a cabin near Yellowstone, and visited W. Yellowstone often. One of our favorite things to do with guests was an evening at the Playmill. They have a very small stage, but they are able to do amazing things in a small space. The quality of the actors is very high. The plays are always family friendly, and Heidi's fudge is not to be missed. The "green show" (pre show blackouts) are great, fast paced and funny. The actors are able to interact with the audience, adding another layer of fun - especially in the melodramas. I especially want to shout out to Roger and Heidi Merrill who own and run the thing. Some of the best people ever. They will go out of their way to make your experience a great one.
We loved the play. Good actors. We really had fun attending the program. There were a couple of hams. We are DEFINITELY going to see more of their shows next year.
