Love Purdue campus and campus culture! Great art exhibits inside the Union and Stewart Center. Love the tunnels during the bad weather.
When I attended Purdue there were only 12K students. Now that number exceeds 40K. A world leader in so many fields. Purdue athletics may suck but this is one great university. Visit the University bookstore to buy your Purdue goodies.
Purdue is a great place to visit as a family for the numerous activities on campus, including sporting events. The campus is full of well manicured greenery and superb for walking. Students have the best of it with the outstanding dorms and apartments within walking distance to campus. There is plenty of shopping on campus. The food courts are absolutely awesome! The all you can eat food is mouthwatering, and each of five locations have a different menus each day! I am a frequent visitor for meetings, sporting events, and just hanging out to enjoy the campus and the wonderful students/staff. The Christmas Show is a don't miss but performances are already sold out weeks ahead of time. Downtown Lafayette is so quant and lovely, charm at its best!
Not a bad seat in the house! Very loud excitable atmosphere and great to take children! If you are an alumni (which i am) there is tremendous school pride here for the basketball program
We were here for the Fall Preview Day. We love the beautiful campus! Short walks to where you need to be. The students were friendly and helpful, and the staff was super nice. The student union was really neat with the bowling alley and eateries. We would be proud for our son to attend here!
Purdue has a great University Complex of over 100 buildings and sports venues. The Student Union hotel is the place to stay on campus. The Alumni Center does a good job of welcoming back graduates and families.
This winter trip in Purdue University: All travels were done in city bus (US$2 for day pass) or walk. While we were there most days temp were -10 degree centigrade or lower. with or without snow cover. So padding with sufficient cloths were required. In addition (I used work boot for footwear - for its nonslip design) winter walking was lonesome and testing. But it was great fun.
I only saw a little corner of the campus on our visit. It is beautiful. Lots of food, drink, etc available.
I always loved being here. There is so much to do and it is a good place to hang out. It adds a lot to the area.
Our experience with the entire visit was excellent. The culture throughout our day (admissions, student tour, academic presentation, ROTC) was consistently beyond good. The people were knowledgeable and friendly.
