Best to go on Sunday-Thursday. They. Get. Busy!! Recommend you buy your tickets online since you get a discount too! Don't forget to also pay for parking online to save yourself a dollar! One of the best Aquariums I've been to. Highly recommend. Be ready to spend half a day there!
水缸很大,展出了各种海底动物。说明很全,摆放的高度也正好。相比之下,海豚表演跟哑剧和学校新年演出差不多。看到海豚翻跳什么的,但是表演者真是很扫兴,完全破坏了节目。
I'll be honest with you, I'm not an aquarium fan. But who will ever miss a chance to visit the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere that is one of the only places you can see whale sharks and manta rays up close.Wow! Wow! I have never seen such beauty in my life. Our whole time all we did was watch these beautiful creatures. The rest of the aquarium is fun to visit, but we were constantly pulled back to see the whale sharks and the rays. Here's some cool photos of our experience:http://travelexperta.com/2015/03/atlanta-georgia-aquarium.htmlIf you like aquariums or not, this is a place you need to visit.
The staff was so friendly and kind to our kids. The price was great for the aquarium and dolphin show. The aquarium was incredible all the fish and animals. The isles were wide enough to fit strollers even though there are a lot of people. Lots of room to move around. The dolphin show was awesome. The kids loved the whole day. Planning to go back this July. If you are on the area worth the money and the time. Go or you will regret it.
Well, ok. I have to say that this is actually one of the most expensive attractions that I have ever been to, bar the Petra Archeological Stie in Jordan! So at US$40 a head, I begrudgingly paid. But I admit, it was worth the money because given what's on display and what it must cost to maintain the whole thing, it's probably a fair price! The whole thing is divided into 5 or 6 sections, each featuring various types of aquatic life. Whilst I will not bore you with the individual fauna on show, I will say that the whale sharks, giant manta rays and, the stars of the show for me, the otherworldly beluga whales are all fantastic. With huge viewing windows and tunnels, it's great for adults and kids alike.
Great attraction and a must see on any visit to Atlanta. The food and tickets were a bit pricey but get the city pass to see all the cities major attractions at a discount. You will need 3 days to take in all the site as well. The Dolphin show was good but be sure to stay out of the splash zone. The also had some static displays of aquatic marine life with cut away views of there anatomical structures. The visit itself will take about 4 hours so wear comfortable shoes. It was really crowded but the attraction flowed well.
It's been a few years since I've visited the aquarium and the only change I could see was that the crowds were bigger than before. It's still a great place to visit if you're a tourist. It's a great place to support if you're a local. There are a ton of places to park near the aquarium but there is official aquarium parking in a ramp. Take your ticket with you and pay before you get back to the ramp. It opens at 10am and I would highly recommend buying tickets online and printing them, or you can pick up at will call. You can certainly stand in line if you didn't plan ahead. There are great exhibits and you can do them all in one day. There are 3 live dolphin shows daily and it starts at noon. It's extremely popular and you HAVE to go 30 min early to get a seat. Sit in the first 10 rows to get wet. Sit way above for the best view. The most awe inspiring attraction comes from the ocean section with a massive glass wall and words don't it justice. There is a cafe there with kid friendly food at an inflated price. While it's a wonderful place, please be prepared for lots of lines, lots of strollers and lots of standing around to try to get a good view. There are not a lot of bathrooms either, so definitely a line there. If you can come more that once a year, it's worth it to get a season pass. They are a charitable contribution and you get parking discounts as well as guest discounts.
With Georgia Aquarium being one the largest in the country, it is definitely something you want to visit. It's located in the center of downtown near several other attractions. Bring your walking shoes and do not go during high times. I would suggest that you purchase a city pass which will include other attractions near it. The value by itself, I don't thing was worth 39 dollars but the kids will love it. Some of the adventure attractions were a bit confusing but this is definitely a place to take your kids. Lastly be prepared to break the bank for lunch. We spent $50 on food that was just "okay."
