This magnificent performance by the Gaither Vocal Band; The Isaacs; the Nelons; and others was protrayed beautifully in the new Kovachick Conference and Athletic Complex (KCAC) near the campus of IUP. The lighting, the sound, the staging, all perfectly complimented the instruments and the voices of this traveling troop. The KCAC STAFF worked tirelessly to assist patrons to and from their reserved seats; and the food court served delicious beverages and foods. Bill GaIther himself said "THIS IS THE TYPE OF VENUE WE NEED TO BE USING MORE OFTEN".Our compliments to the Premier Production organization for scheduling the Gaither Homecoming Friends in INDIANA, PA. The favorable response of those thousands attending attest to the success of the evening.
I graduated recently from IUP with a MBA. I did not have to travel to the main campus for classes, but did have to make the trip every semester for books and stuff. The only real downside of the campus is, no street signs. Unless you live on campus and travel around each day, it is very hard to find your way around. You leave the city streets of Indiana and all of a sudden the streets on campus are not named. You have to try and read the name of buildings and the small signs with mis-placed arrows to get around.
IUP is situated in a beautiful all-American town...is wonderfully maintained, and is made up of friendly and down-to-earth people. You have to visit the Oak Grove, John Sutton Hall, and Breezedale. BTW, good for grades are not given away here...students have to attend class and work for them!
First time there in ten years--campus looks basically the same with some new construction. Sure wish I'd had those new apartments 30 years ago instead of the dorms!
The campus at IUP is attractive and a nice walk around. The grove is an internal area of trees and sort of park like. Decent dining choices around campus and the only Chik fil A in Indiana is on this campus at the hub. Campus is growing and buildings are being erected so driving is impeded in some areas. But park and walk around
My relatives work at IUP and are looking forward to expanded student services in the new buildings. The COOP store has a tremendous range of items from books to IUP paraphernalia.
the Indiana University campus in Indiana Pa is a beautiful and manageable place for students to live and study. I've watched that facility go through many changes in the 47 years I've lived in Indiana and must say that the changes have been for the good. Besides providing a great place for the students IUP offers a lot to the community. There are many concerts and shows that come our way because the university is here. My husband and I and my friends attend several events at IUP each year. It's really nice to not have to make the hour or so drive to Pittsburgh to see the PIttsburgh Symphony or the latest traveling Broadway shows. There are also many faculty and student concerts offered on the campus and usually they are also quite good. We are indeed fortunate to have IUP as the centerpiece of our community.
