This review is slightly misleading as the venue itself was great. More than enough food/drink choices, great clean bathrooms, and huge comfortable seats. But do not park in the arenas parking garage. We waited 45 minutes with the entire garage after a concert because the workers would not do their job and block traffic to let us out. They blamed it on their manager. Who knows what the real cause was but there were a LOT of angry people!
I have been to several basketball games at Bankers Life, pro, colleg and high school. We have also been to two concerts. I consider this a great basketball arena. Very open concourses, aisles are marked clearly, plenty of concession stands. The seats are comfortable and a good amount of space so the person next to you doesn't have their arm on you. The bathrooms are clean and roomy. The acoustics for the concerts seemed good. I am not an expert in that field but I was satisfied. The is plenty of parking. There is a parking garage basically attached to it. There are several lots to the south that is a short walk. It is easy to get on the interstate from those lots.I highly recommend going to an event here.
I have been here three times (one Pacer game, and two concerts). Lots of signage to find your seating section. I think it is a nice venue to take in a Pacer's game, we were sitting way up towards the top and had a fairly good seat. For both concerts, we sat in the stands on the second level, the other we were on the floor. The sound was good at both concerts. The seats themselves are rather thin width-wise, so if you are a bigger person, you are not going to have a lot of room. Padding was adequate. The food and beverage here is way overpriced. Sneak in your own bottled water and some snacks. Some of the bathrooms are really small, like half a dozen urinals in one with one stall. The lines with these bathrooms can be extra long given their poor design. Paper towels run out quick too.
This is a very nice new stadium. There are not a lot of restaurants, but there are enough. The lighting and seating was very comfy for an NBA game. Overall I really like the stadium but unfortunately we had a bad experience and it put a dark cloud on our total experience.
Bankers Life is a SUPERB place to watch basketball games. I usually go to Fever games(which are quite inexpensive) and I have never had a bad seat or view. You feel like you are in the middle of the action. The big screens are sensational to watch replays and close ups. Just walking into Bankers Life is an experience in itself, the layout is incredible and exciting. Definitely a place for family fun. The only downsides to me are the incredibly overpriced concessions and parking can get expensive although usually I have not noticed spiked parking rates at the nearby Circle Centre Mall during Fever and most Pacer games. A bus stop is practically at the front door and many buses routes are there so that is a great option if riding the bus is convenient for you. Go to Bankers Life for a GREAT sports experience!
Women of Faith retreat was hosted here. Plenty of bathrooms for all these women, and not a bad seat in the house.
The place is awesome. VERY clean and new with great seats everywhere. Right in the heart of Indy. Close to everything (well...except the Motor Speedway / 20 minute drive) No wonder the Big 10 championships, the NCAA Final Four, major concerts and more are regularly held there. Yes...it was voted he best sports venue in the country.
I liked this venue because it gives you the opportunity to see shows for certain price for seating. What I disliked about the place is the food courts are too expensive.
Fantastic venue, many view it as one of the best places to watch a basketball game in the country! The newer screen is huge and great as well for those that sit a bit high.
The arena is very modern and up to date and every seat offers a great view of the game. Every seat is a seat and not a bench even in the upper decks which is very nice.
