This place was just beautifully presented and took me back in time. It would have been a fantastic place to go back in time, the way this town is constructed gives credit to the builders of that era
Find all your accommodation and things to do at York Western Australia by visiting York Town Hall. York is the oldest in land Town in Western Australia and the most historic town. If your looking for a self-cont B&B stay at The York Lily Retreat. Very peaceful and private retreat to relax.
The York town Hall is just part of a town which feels like being in a time warp. The Hall is quite impressive, but what was outstanding was its beautiful flooring showing some of the fabulous wooden floors coming from the trees of WA. York is definitely worth a visit. After seeing the hall, have a walk down the main street, it feels like walking through bygone years, the signs on the buildings are quite amusing and not very politically correct which is in itself an attraction. York is about 2 hours drive north east of Perth. When driving back, stop at the Olive factory 12 minutes drive from York on the right side. A good opportunity to buy various types of olives and have a try at the olive ice cream. The olive dip also is great.
Excellent condition and really spacious. I can see why it gets used all the time. Great atmosphere and heaps of character. Make sure you go upstairs and stand in the balcony area.
The York Town Hall is spectacular and is well worth a visit. Usually open to the public during the day so you can wander through for a look. It can also be hired at a reasonable rate and is a great venue for wedding receptions.
most locals when in town would use the town hall for the toilets lol so clean ! There isnt a lot to see unless there is some event on. Its a lovely place tho and contains the info centre which is well worth a look
Beautiful old building and well renovated with a lovely staircase and gorgeous stain glass windows. Well worth a look.

Interesting architecturally and historically. Loved this and other buildings in the area. Work a visit.
What a beautiful old building this is. Loved the jarrah floors, balustrading and pressed tin ceilings. Highly recommend a visit to Town Hall.
