The statue is in need of repairs and regular upkeep, its sad to see such a huge piece of my childhood and Eureka Springs fade into history. The entire passion play area has just gone downhill. Its a shame.
I have never actually seen the passion play but love going to see this beautiful statue everything I'm in the area! The view is amazing!
I know its the largest statue and can be seen for miles so we had to visit. Once there the views were really great, but the statue seems so weird and out of place. Definitely underwhelming. We didn't go to the museum, so maybe there is more info about it.
A must see when you are in Eureka Springs. This is a very peaceful place and very beautiful to see. It is a lot bigger than you would think and they play peaceful music while you view. You will come away feeling more in tune with nature and closer to God.
...from several vantage points around town. It's interesting to get it in the background during a photo opp. It has a disconcertingly 'different' look compared to the usual representations. Somebody told me it looked more like Willie Nelson.
Great view and you can't beat this being a free attraction. There are also other interesting things at this location including an open air theater and a section of the Berlin Wall. The statue does look a little like a milk carton with a head on it (don't expect Christ the Redeemer), but definitely worth the time for a great view of Eureka Springs.
Enjoyed the visit to see this large statue overlooking the countryside. Very relaxing spot to sit and regroup.
Just walking the grounds and seeing the size of the massive CHRIST OF THE OZARKS STATUE is enough to feel closer to God. Sitting high atop the mountain it can be seen from the top of the crescent hotel. If You get a chance to see one of the live performances don't pass it up.
From the top of the Crescent, Christ of the Ozarks is pretty impressive, but the closer you get, the more disappointing is becomes, unless you like tall white "buildings".
My nine year old yells from the backseat, "momma, I found Jesus" as she points to this statue in the distance. So of course we drove up to it. Neat experience! Glad to know Jesus is Alive and representing in this great town!
