The two of us tasted several wines and surveyed the grounds. The vineyards were dormant yet serene and beautiful for it was a sunny, brisk day. We visited on New Year's Eve day and there was a wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen where the staff was preparing for a New Year's Eve event.
And Crane Creek Vineyards knows how to make fine wines from them! Crane Creek offers a fantastic venue, great atmosphere and great wines. They have Friday tapas gatherings, soup kitchen Sundays and Saturday is a good day to sample wines, find your favs and then enjoy a glass (or bottle) on the gorgeous outdoor patio. Try the mountain harvest white & red - awesome! David is so entertaining, and the staff are so friendly. Just relax and enjoy a great wine in a beautiful setting.
Feels like you are out in the middle of no where, but when arriving at the winery, the land is beautiful! Several types of delicious wines. $5 to taste 6 of them. Can also buy a glass to drink on the deck overlooking the vineyards. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would definitely go back when in the area!
very neat little boutique winery. Good price for the amount of wine they let you sample. Prices were reasonable for the wines.
Stopped here for a tasting and glass wine. Pretty little country winery. Bring a picnic and sit out and feel the breezes and enjoy the view. This winery does not charge for a tasting.
Crane Creek Vineyard is one of many north Georgia wineries. It has a pleasant distinction of being relaxing, accommodating, and delightful in its ambience. Two large decks with ample tables and chairs overlook the expansive and beautiful vineyard. Plenty of room for the whole family while Mom and Dad sample the very fine wines from the friendly staff. For those with an affinity for wineries, Crane Creek is a must.
Nice place to go and just relax for a while. I didn't notice a tour per we, but the views were so lovely and tastings were fun!
The wine tasting is great and offers you a great historical tale behind each bottle. Great for large groups or one person, you are sure to enjoy.
We have been going and enjoying this vineyard for a years. We find the people the best, and the wines are Great... You can sit out and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine overlooking the rolling hills. The blood pressure drops... I would highly recommend to anyone in the area, and if there on Friday, go for the tapas. David is a wonderful chief, and will not disappoint.
Girls day at Crane Creek was a success, as you can tell from my title :) We visited the vineyard on a Saturday and took advantage of "Soup Saturday!" We also booked a tour and tasting prior to arriving on their website. The tour guide was actually the owner him self, that's always nice! The tour lasted a little over an hour with in depth explanation of the wine making process. Following that was a tasting in which we were poured the 13 of the wines they had in at the time. We were offered a full glass of our personal favorite wine to enjoy with a cheese and cracker snack platter! My personal favorite was the Brasstown Red! If you are a white wine drinker this particular vineyard has a huge selection for you! The owners wife is a veterinarian and the rescue dogs which are always in the tasting room or wandering around in the vineyard! VERY PET FRIENDLY! They informed us about several upcoming events that will be held at Crane Creek! Happening little joint, we had a blast!
