Overcharged and tricked into paying extra at every turn. Had a horrible experience here and the facilities were no better than at a council run leisure centre.AVOID! - There are similar facilities in Meersburg and Konstanz, neither of which I tried, but can only assume are better than this dump.
We visited in May 2013 and found the baths to be perfectly acceptable. Water temperatures OK, water features and slides for the kids all good. The price is very good value for money. I would suggest not trying to leave with everyone else as they have a daft system to check the wrist straps (used to pay for items in the cafe, as a locker key and for time checking). The staff were very friendly.
I recently went there with a few friends during a very rainy day - like the rest of Ueberlingen seemed to have done. As school was still out on that day it was, naturally, very crowded. But first things first. The Therme offers four different pools - one for swimmers, one for kids, a hot tub and an outdoor pool from which you have a fantastic view as Lake Constance is right in front of you. There is also a water slide which I didn't try but it definitely looked like a fun thing to do. The facility overall is clean and prices are reasonable. Staff were friendly and patient. However, the big downer for me was the space! It's totally fine when the place is not crowded but as it was not the changing rooms, showers, bathrooms were just full of people. Moving around became an obstacle course and queues for the changing rooms formed. Another thing that definitely could have been done differently was the access to the pools. You have to walk down a rather steep staircase which I think is pretty inconvenient for senior citizen or walking-impaired people.
We went to this facility two days in a row with another family and both families LOVED this place. There are several pools to choose from. Some of the adults exercised in the cooler pools. The hot water pools are truly warm and relaxing, with bubbles and a strong whirlpool. The slides for the kids kept our kids entertained for hours (ages 4, 9, and 12). Plus, there are plenty of "toys" for the kids to play with, including noodles, flippers, etc.The view from the outside hot water pool is amazing. When we went the lake water was too cold for us, so we stayed in the pools. I'm sure when the whether is warmer, the outside lake activities would also be tons of fun for the kids. The best thing about this place was the value. It's clean and fun, and a bargain.
Staff are pig ignorant, arrogant, fundamentally dishonest and you will be stiffed at the slightest opportunity.
When we arrived in Germany we knew there would be one day of pretty constant rain. Planning ahead having seen a leaflet we decided to visit the Uberlingen Therme. The place was fantastically clean and all of the staff very friendly, I speak basic German but never had any issues. You wear a smart bracelet that works your locker and any extras you want whilst there. The tag also allows you pay for lunch without fumbling with coins and cards which was excellent. The facilities considering they're equivalent to council baths are super clean and very we'll run. I've paid £100 for me to visit a UK base spa and this was 5x better and a fraction of the cost. I'd been having some back ache and my wife told me to go into the spa element which is next door. It's extra money and you use your bracelet to get it. There's about 7 rooms of varing heats. It was no bathing suits which as a prudish Brit took some getting used to, but my the end I was swimming in the lake having been in their hottest sauna and feeling super revitalised. My kids loved the great food and the super fast flume, I went down once and it was enough. The bit which looks out onto the lake itself is so nice and tranquil. Families or couples would love this place, my only regret is that we didn't have chance to try the sister resorts dotted around the lake in other towns.
