Long sandy beach with coconut trees. Not touristic so very calm and relax. 2 little restaurant with simple good food and unexpensive. The sea is very warm but not good for a swim. Strong current and strong waves. Fun to play in the waves but don't go to far, it could be dangerous.
Pollution free beach with long stretch of white sand. Very few shops/shacks on the beach means less commercialisation so you get to enjoy the beach and watch the sunset.
A lovely beach with white sand and palms almost right upto the waters edge. Very beautiful. I loved the peacefulness of the beach. It wasn't overcrowded with rowdy people. There was no litter on the beach !!
marari is one of the least disturbed secrets of coastal kerala, like varkala. It is a truly amazing beach with soft, white sands and a homely populace to make you feel comfortable. The villages in and around marari beach abound in toddy shops where you get country coconut liquor and amazing countryside food. They also offer a peek into the lives of people residing in kerala's fishing coasts. Some of the interesting resorts worth spending your time here include the marari beach resort, marari villas and lake n lagoons homestay. do read this blogpost for more detailswww.mallubackpacker.blogspot.com
Beautiful beach - Clean, Calm and quiet. Lesser known beach and so less crowded. Hence worth visiting. However be careful when going too deep as it has steep slope. But it has huge waves so you can enjoy even without going in too deep. You will not get shades or too many food stalls or beach activities or changing place on this beach. However, that is what makes this beach quiet and clean so you can enjoy the serenity and calmness and listen to the waves and enjoy the sunset.
I would rate Marari beach the best of all the other beaches in Alleppey, Whether you plan to visit it in the Morning, noon or by evening you will love the fact there is Sun, sand and trees as well, Beautiful trees line up the shore where you can sit down and while away the time watching the waves dash up against the sand.If you are a couple do not venture after dark or go away from the people around, Spending time under the shade of those trees and burning the daylight could be the best possible way to enjoy this beach, its not as crowded as the Alleppey beach but at the sunset there were quite a number of tourists,We were there at the sunset and it was the best sunset we witnessed for a long time, Do not miss this beach if you are planning a trip to Alleppey, either the sunrise or the sunset should be a perfect time to visit this beach just as any other beach but even the noon hot sun will provide you relief under those tress lined up on the shores.**** Do carry your water bottle and snacks you wont get any around the beach, There are no eateries around. The only drawback is that its around 15kms from the city on the Kochi - Salem - Kanyakumari Highway, but trust me its worth the distance, if you are from Tamilnadu such as Coimbatore and its nearby cities you can plan this while you are leaving Alleppey since this beach falls on the way to Coimbatore.Note: Rather than travel on the main road to reach this beach take the parallel road that is along the beach, Look the photos I have uploaded to get an ideaExact location - 9.611077, 76.301743
Beach is 13 KM far from Alleppey Town, Great View, Clean Beach and very less people and near to Marari Beach Resort.
Marari beach should rank as one of the most pristine and beautiful beaches in India! The beach has very few people, coconut trees lining the land and clean white sand. A visual treat!
