It's lovely Forestpark in the city... Perfect place for morning jogging, walk during a day while watch in birds, deers or even for dining in as there are few place to choose from while enjoying this beautiful nature and lakes around.
The park is nice and much to see! last weekends highland games where great! Will come back for sure :)
A very pleasent walk in the park and if you have kids they wil probably enjoy the water museum akso close to centre of town and bus/tram routes
Yes indeed. English landscape style: hills, meadows, woods, a waterfall and sort of cave. Lots to see and do. There a regular concerts on a raft. There is a visitor centre, museum and a few restaurants. And to see: deer, kingfisher and other more common birds. Please don't forget Park Zypendaal which is situated right at the back of Sonsbeek. It's smaller, but you'll find it more relaxing. Therefore: no entertainment in Zypendaal.
I lived very close to Sonsbeek park a few years ago and went there a lot, just to relax and drink something but also to run and get fit and just for a romantic walk through the park. The nature is beautiul in Sonsbeek, especially in autumn or spring seasons. Love to go there as much as possible.
Its one of the green fingers in Arnhem reaching far into the town. its a nice place to sit, to stroll to go walking and all other activities or non-activities there is a lot of water with a big and a small fall. in winter you can go skating and you can visit "the lazy King"
The Sonsbeek Park is situated near to the towncenter of Arnhem. It is surrounded with beautiful houses. In the park you find restaurants, gardens, artsculptures, musea, farms, children playgrounds. It is an oasis of nature and peace.
Don't miss this park - bordering on a forest, it has deer, cows, swans and loads of greenery. A lovely park to cycle or walk through.
This park is the perfect place for a leisurely stroll to forget all about the troubles of daily life. There is a lot of this park and it takes a while to walk through it all. It's beautifully constructed with many bushes and benches to sit down. The trees provide shadow in summer, and if you like sun you can sunbathe on one of the many fields. There are 2 cafes in the park. Both are quite expensive but they serve quality lunches and drinks.Once a month on Sunday there is a small market. Here local farmers sell their produce. It's definitely worth a visit, there are many peculiar things to try.
Park within easy reach of Arnhem station, there are nice walks, either on the level or there are more hilly walks. Some nice art works visible, nice ponds, a water play area for kids, and a few places for coffee etc. Worth a visit!
