如果你喜欢建筑和雕塑,来这儿准没错。国会大厦的翻新工作前段时间就结束了,这里真是越来越美了。

The size, the architecture, the walk up from Congress street, the rotunda...all worth a half hour of time to see. You can also take a longer tour, but that isn't necessary to get the feel of this wonderful building.

We just stopped by with no plans or reservations and walked right in (thru security) spent an hour or so looking around. Pretty cool portrait of Sam Houston along with statues of other famous Texans.

如果没有来过这里,那就不曾来过奥斯汀,如果你对历史感兴趣,那么这里大有可观。我们还去到了德克萨斯州众议院(Texas State Senate)的楼层参观(通常是不在参观范围内的),当然也要额外的门票的。圆形大厅挂满了所有德克萨斯州历任总统肖像,从Sam Houston到德克萨斯州的官员,包括George Bush和Rick Perry。

州政府大楼很不错，有免费的解说，每10多分钟就有解说带着人去里面转，当然你也可以自己转我去的那天里面有很多小孩， 据说是办公和旅游一起的，但是没看到几个办公的人， 有洲的议会等等，总之挺好的停车可以停马路边上的咪表，1刀/小时，州政府也有供游客的停车场，免费2个小时（不过我没找到。 。。 ）

This is a great way to spend a couple of hours. It is free in and well worth a visit. It is a fantastic building with some great history.

Loved walking thru with guide showing us the different paintings, and desks belonging to the different characters that emerge in As leaders and governors of Texas' unique history! Learned that it's the only state to have ever been a republic in its own standing. A foreign country within our states? Amazing!

For a tourist, magnificent place to visit at least once! There's lots of places to visit while in Austin. Don't forget UT and kayaking in the river!
