One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to! Powder white sand and crystal clear water. You can walk forever and the water is only up to your knees. Warm Mediterranean water.Restaurants and bars on site with pub-grade food. Not the greatest but hits the spot. Ample parking. There is a gift shop across the parking lot which sells towels.More than enough lounge chairs. There were people from all over the world. No surprise either, as this beach has breathtaking views.
Great beach, never too crowded and a lovely safe bay for swimming and snorkelling, great beach bar and restaurant "Nissiaki" lovely food reasonably priced.
Lovely beach, quiet and peaceful! Great for families, shallow waters and can literally walk across to the little island in the middle which is great to go crab seeing and other little creatures. You can also set up a little towel and sunbathe :). My favorite beach every time I go.
If you want a peaceful day by the sea then Ayia Thekla beach is definitely the place to be. Lovely soft sand; clear blue water; permanent breeze and all facilities including inexpensive sunbeds & brollies provided by Cyprus' very own Kojak! One of the nicest Cypriots you could wish to meet, Vassos has been running this beach for over 20 years & treats all his clients with a cheery ( & cheeky!) smile. That, in my opinion, is the main reason so many holidaymakers return to this beautiful spot year after year. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.
Lovely, clean beach. Bath-like water, crystal clear and no deeper than chest height. Facilities are good. Toilets kept spotless throughout the day. Loved it!
Terrific beach, excellent facilities. They were preparing for a wedding breakfast, everyone was so relaxed.
We only knew that this beach existed because someone recommend it to us, but I'm so glad they did. Golden sand on a gently curving bay with a rocky island just beyond which makes the waters perfect for swimming. The sunbeds are reasonably priced for the day and there are good quality umbrellas with small tables so you don't get sand in your books and clothes! It doesn't appear to be very well known, but there were enough people to give it a nice atmosphere without being overcrowded. The beach bar and restaurant are really good and have lovely seating on the grass next to the beach. The toilet facilities were clean at the beginning of the day and well maintained throughout. A lovely spot, but don't tell everyone about it!!
Very clean nice bar for lunch just wish they would make it easier to get in the sea lots of rocks perhaps a job for this winter
Asia Thekkla Beach: Bigger, enter and less crowded than Nissi Beach. Plenty of car parking too. The cafe/restaurant is a bit hit and miss on quality but you can't beat a glass of wine on the patio looking out to sea. Handy for the dual carriageway and there are plenty of properties to rent in Thekkla for a holiday. Agia Nappa is five minutes drive East with all its hotels and night life.
we heard about a church built in the rocks while on one of the red bus tours so we went on the hunt for it & found that it was at Ayia Thekla so we got on the 711 bus at protaras it took about 35 mins to get there we went up to the church on the rocks & then discovered the little church we were looking for just below it & if you go on a Wednesday their is also a market there
